Surfbabe, hope nephew is ok x
Time with your friend sounds good, though, and yes Se, I am of the opinion that I should grab the opportunity while it is there and run
Just want this cold to go, then I can get out there and do some proper running :j

Well done on the Marathon Hypno. I meant what I said about Edinburgh. I want to meet you and Pania!!!
I fully intend being thereSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
It is great news, but I have a dilemma because I have committed to run the Edinburgh marathon 5 weeks later. 2 marathons just 5 weeks apart may be a challenge or it may be stupidity, and I have the option to defer London until 2012.
:rotfl:
I say defer London. Running both is not a good idea and can cause damage.

That's the sensible option but you know Hypno the word sensible is not in her vocab :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can't imagine watching London on the TV and sitting there thinking "I should be there!"......:o
Funnily enough Hypno, I can't imagine that either:whistle::o

I reckon do both Hypno :T I've been a member of a running forum for donkey's years, and there's plenty of folk over there who've done two closer together than that. You just need to be sensible about not overtraining (!), about resting in between, and about not chasing fast times to both - I'd aim to just get round one of them (or possibly both), not go fast in one and beat your time in the second! A lot of the folk I know do run/walk too - and have done quicker than 4.5 hour marathon times doing run/walk too
Gives your legs more time to rest during training, and also keeps you fresh during the race!
Good luck!

I am determined to get under 5 hours this year. Whether it happens at the first attempt, the second attempt, or both doesn't matter, but I WILL GET UNDER 5 HOURS!!!
Even 11 min mile should get me in under 5 hours, so all I have to do is not hit that flippin wall!!!
