Morning all, haven't read all of MG's blog recently but I took it as a bit of 'aiming for the stars and lightening your load', whether literally or metaphorically. It's a great kick up the backside...if that's what you need but completely agree with all who say that just reading the positive words coming from the threads just now is uplifting and makes me smile every day. VERY grateful for what and who I have in my life just now. Have great days all XXX

Not doing things is perfectly allowable - if you CHOOSE not to do them. If you have made a conscious decision not to do something, and there is a beneficial reason to you NOT doing it, then that is fine, because you have taken control, made a beneficial decision, and done something positive by not doing whatever it is you have chosen not to do!

And, as said above, it is not a competition. You have to do what is right for you!

I so agree H (as usual you are spot on!). I was sepaking to someone who was in a state over a number of issues, one of which is that he can't sell his house & get a bigger one so his kids (boy & girl) share a room. He feels a failure (even if he could sell it's unlikley he could get big enough mortgage etc). We talked about it for a while and I convinced him that deciding to do nothing (i.e. take the house off the market etc for a few years) was a positive action as opposed to feeling trapped & a failure - he has done that and having conscioulsy decided to do it he feels much better about it :)

Rather than looking at it as investing in a new business, I am looking at it as investing in a new me. And I am having fun doing so - if I happen then to get a bit of oomph in the money-making stakes, then so much the better, but it is not the be all and end all.

    Hi Hypno,
Been back for a week but not able to get on much because 1) dd was home but has now gone back to uni and 2) internet connection keeps going.
I tried to keep up on hols whenever I got some wifi connectivity so not too much of a marathon to catch up with your thread which i've now done. I'm anaother one who had no inkling that you were tidying etc in order to sell. I thought it was just another step in your decluttering and creating the lovely space you've been creating since I've "known" you.

Back home from a quick run - it is a gorgeous evening out there - very Indian Summer.

V - I hope your wifi is working now!

I hope you have all had a good day x

Glad you enjoyed the run - it has indeed been a beautiful day.

Just out of interest (and me being a nosey being) are you near the coast - do you run being able to see the waves - not sure why but I seem to have it in my head you are near it......or am I just imaging what I'd like to be near (without the running, of course!!)

Morning P. Have a good day yourself.

Milann, I am about half an hour away from the coast, but admit that I don't go very often. I live in a country village so do my running around the lanes most of the time, which is lovely!

    Morning ladies :hello:

You've reminded me to go for a run, once I've listed 250 people that can propel me to superstardom, made sure I'm in touch with my inner child, made sure I spend quality time with my children (after decluttering the house, working, laundry blah, blah) and making time for me - *cos I'm important too* :D Oh and move house in the morning. I'm sure I can fit all that in :rotfl:

Have a good day to you both :)

Is that not just a normal day, then, Mac!?
