Yes I have read the book, and have found it very useful for working on the challenges.
BUT, as I have said before - this has all come at the right time for me. Had it come along just a few months ago, I wouldn't have made nearly so much progress or effort with it, and would have hit many brick walls.
You can't force it - you can push it, push yourself and get right out of your comfort zone, that is all part of it, and how you make progress, but you can't force yourself to do it.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hypno - if you're doing MG's contacts challenge, have you used http://www.linkedin.com/ . OH uses it for work contacts, his last job came via the linkedin network, plus some other job offers since. Basically you can search via company name to find people who've worked at the same places, so can get in touch again with old contacts.
PM me if you want to add me to your contacts list, and I'll send contact details0 -

I'm on Linkedin too - I only joined after pressure from a colleague as I have an aversion to online networking
I have to say though, that although I'm not actively seeking a new job, I have been approached by a couple of headhunters, so opportunities are out there...0 -
I keep meaning to join LinkedIn. Will add it to my long list.

Be careful: You'd be Shredding, cleaning your oven and buying tins of brussel sprouts next..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Erm ... No, no and no. Hypno's a great motivator and I love her ideas but I live in a flat and my neighbours will think there is an earthquake if i start Shredding! And as for the sprouts - my mum used make curry with them! Not for me though!
Really am going to bed now!

Keeping_Motivated wrote: »Hypno have you read all of MG's mindmapping book? If the answer is yes then I really do not know how you do it. I've not read it yet or done the challenges and I feel frustrated with myself but I think my problem is that I 'feel' like there is so much to do ie work, house, family, declutter etc (like everyone) then I have the book to read, challenges to do, thread to keep on top of etc etc SO I end up doing nothing
I think I need to break it down as when I am overwhelmed I obviously decide to do NOTHING  So I will just read the book this week and take it from there as its getting ridiculous
MG is the world champ at mindmapping but I bet I am the world champ at procrastination and paralysing perfectionism at the moment
That pretty much sums up how I feel, got so much on at the moment, am keen and if I am honest hate the feeling of being left behind (and I know I am not cos the challenge will always be there)but have been copying and pasting to word ( and doing little mind maps in the quiet) it will be there when I am ready
hang in there mate paralysing perfection will be defeated! (sounds like something from Harry Potter) xxNevertheless she persisted.0
