We had to wait a painstaking MONTH Lucielle, it was agonising, but so worth it - so hold your nerve and sending positive vibes your way :)

And so another week starts.....I wonder what this one will bring! Payday is on Thursday which I am looking forward to, because it will mean that I have survived my skint September. The next month includes DS's birthday, and the house insurance, so I will need to budget carefully, again, but it will be easier than September, for sure!

I hope you all have a good day x

You too. And as I posted on MG's thread - I've already put in my request for your perfect buyers - they're on their way ;)

My parents have just had their house valued and I as suprised at how low you can expect people to offer below your asking price. I guess they are hoping you are desparate and will take any offer, sit tight and they will come in closer to what you want.

I know what you mean pippa. I have a good, and realistic, idea of what I will accept for this house. This is based on what I need to clear all my borrowings, the deposit I need for the new house, plus costs etc.....combined with the estate agents valuation, plus knowledge of what is available on the market (both in competition with mine, and for me to buy). The two offers that I have had, both from the same potential purchaser, have been waaaay below my bottom line figure - so much so that the estate agent couldn't even say it is a "try it and see" offer, more a "you're having a laugh" offer!

I am not desperate to move. I want to move, for lots of reasons, but I am not a forced seller. I can therefore play the game :D

Besides, my perfect buyer is out there and is getting closer to me all the time, and will offer me a certain amount of money that I will accept. It is the law.....:)

Well went to the seaside on Saturday, plan is to go Utrecht for a day trip next weekend, and then booked a one night stopover on the way back in Brugge to break the journey and do some sightseeing, then read on MG's thread about the new challenge to book something fun each week!!!! So I think I'm joining in with some of the challenges before they're even written!!

Hope you get some better offers soon. People on the housing bits of mse are recommending silly low initial offers when buying, because sometimes it works. If they like the house they might come up with better offers soon, and at least for future viewers you can say you've had offers and so others are likely to come up with more realistic figures.

An advance well done for surviving September financially Hypno.

Hope everyone's had a good weekend, and hope everyone has a good week this week :)

I like Brugges, but haven't been there for many many years.

I think you hit the nail on the head re the challenges, actually I think many of us do them, or have been dabbling in elements of them anyway. That, for me, is why I am enjoying the blog and her challenges because I feel that I am actually half way there already, IYSWIM!

It is as much a reinforcement that what I am doing is ok, as much as anything :)

Having a good start to the day, wearing a new jumper & scarf, just enjoying feeling good wearing them :) Are you still enjoying your new wardrobe Hypno?

I think I might have found an eyebrow bar in one of the dept stores, so will go out when they open (shops don't open until 11 on Mondays) and check it out. Might also ask about another makeover if they're free there, will go out without makeup on just in case.

It's ages since we visited Bruges too.
