No chocs, and nothing in the grocery budget this month for any either!
But I have been munching on toast and real butter on and off all morning......that will do!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

well done to you and pania on the 1/2 marathon... you girls are inspirational.
been off the shred bandwagon as staying with family and realised i couldn't do shred on their creaky floorboards...so back home and after a couple of days of being couch potatoe, you guys have inspired me to get back on to the Shred.
can feel i have left it 2 weeks, but it was easier today than the first time i did it..yeh!0 -
Well done on getting back into it SM!
I have been to tesco, armed with meal plan and shopping list and spent £75.....so almost all my monthly budget, but I do think we have got sufficient for the month if we are careful and stick to the plan.
Have also put in a beef and beer casserole in the slow cooker for tomorrow, and will make dumplings to go with it later.....yum yum....
Tonight is pork chops and pasta with a tomato based sauce.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Good luck Hypno! Well done on the Quidco money too :T And good on DS for doing extra paper rounds, how fab! :T
Day 20 of Shred done yesterday so moving up to level 3 tonight! I think you asked if I could feel any difference... well, yes, I could, after one week I'd lost 4lbs and 2 inches from waist! :j However, then I had a few days off, LOTS of cake (I mean, like 7 or 8 pieces a day for a few days), and now I'm back to what I weighed in the beginning, although have only put 1 inch back on
But think how bad it'd be if I had't been Shredding! (got to look on the positive side, hey?? :rotfl:) I've got my sister started on it now too, and we weighed the same the other day, so the race is on... :rotfl:
(only had, er, one piece of cake and one piece of pineapple frangipani pudding and, er, 3 rhubarb scones todayI reckon it must have taken about half an hour to eat all that lot, which means I've had 23.5 non-cake-eating hours today - yay me! :T :rotfl:)

You are doing well on the cake eating front, Cheery - excellent performances there
DS did 8 paper rounds today - was exhausted by the time he finished, but it is good that the shop know he is a hardworker and it will stand him in good stead going forward - he gets good comments too from the people he delivers to which is always nice as so many people are quick to write off teenagers as lazy so and sos nowadays.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Just checked quidco and £50 that has been sat there "validated" for 6 months is finally "received" and therefore due to be paid out this week - perfect timing :T
I had something similar from back in the day when I opened my account, but I got paid £50 at about the time (minus my opening fees), which I thought was it, and now I've been told that it has been received. I have no idea what's going on. I daren't dream too much - I'm sure there has been an error! *Shakes head*
P.S. Very well done on the run (you too, Pania!).Please call me 'Pickle'

Am just home.....and rather tired! Did my run in 2 hours 17 mins which was waaaay faster than I expected, so I am very very pleased with that, and am sure that the weight loss and shred have contributed to the improvement in my time! Jaysus Hypno did you nitrous oxide yourself to get around that fast. HOLY COW girl that is AWESOME:j:j:beer::beer::beer::T:T:T:T. I am so proud of you, and if shred gets you doing that sort of thing the I hope my copy comes soon. (Pania that is not a dig or anything am in no hurry for it)I have still got this bloomin cough/cold no voice thing going on. Doing my head in now
!
Is it weird to be proud of somebody I don't know?
