LOL BM, DS1 did that too! He'd throw himself down on the floor and head butt it!
Till he did it outside on the slabs. I did warn him.... but hey, he knew better...
DS2 was a nightmare, he had these massive fits and we had to do a controlled hold (his paed showed us) where you had to sit and wrap yourself round him while keeping your nose well back till he calmed down. But he was a fly wee !!!!!!, and would pretend to calm down, then go for you when you let go.0 -
:rotfl: T, that is devious behaviour from DS2!
She never did it on concrete but she made the mistake of doing it on the kitchen tiles, she had a reason to cry then hahaha! She still hits herself now and then actually, but she has gotten into some teenage angst mode that's doing my head in:
Me - Keira can you stop jumping, please
Keira - But I want too
Me - Well tough, you know you can't now quit it
Keira - *Over the top wailing* You've upset me now and made me cross *folds arms* STOMP STOMP STOMP *SLAM BEDROOM DOOR*
but she thinks I must be deaf because she will slam it about 3 times to get her point across. I just leave her in there, until she comes out and if she doesn't apologise, she gets sent back in it and told to tidy her hole of a room :rotfl:
No-one told me about terrible 4's?!0 -

oh yes and she said she wouldn't cry if i died (we were watching lion king and I started blubbing when mufasa died) and she told me I was being silly for crying at a cartoon and we got onto the topic of people dying, and she said no she wouldn't cry if I died because she could have my make up?
She is an emotionless shell!!!0 -
My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Em - If it was something like that I would knock it on the head immediately, physically not let him do it and suffer the consequences for the next few days/week/whatever it takes him to learn that it is unacceptable behaviour. If he was (say) running into the road you or doing something physically dangerous you would physically stop him. I apply the same kind of logic to all kinds of unacceptable behaviour.
At the moment when he runs over and starts pulling them off, I pick him up and move him, tell him firmly "No Seth, thats very naughty, you are going to break them", then put the cushions back. The next step is him going back and taking them off again almost immediately, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat...
If I attempt to distract him with something else he takes notice of it for about 30 seconds or so, then goes back and does it again! The only thing that stops him from doing it is me sitting on it, and then I am subject to the tantrums and screaming while he tries to pull it out from under me/push me over to get to it! I'll stay sat on it until he gives up and goes and does something else but as soon as I move he's back trying it again.
In all honesty I dont think the running out in the road analogy really works here as I can remove him from the road but I cant remove him from his own home/play area!
I would be all for doing the naughty step thing if it wasnt for the fact that I know my boy, he is too young for that and doesnt have the understanding level to get whats going on.Mummy to

Em, what about a baby cage (we have a travel cot), and if he messes with the sofa put him in it and tell him that if he messes with the cushions he has to go in there?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

That seems a good idea SS. Could you take him and put him in his bedroom/cot, and then wait until he calms down, let him back in the living room, if he goes for the cushions repeat it? I know you say he wouldn't understand the naughty corner, but if you keep removing him from the cushions and plopping him in his bed, he might click on to "Hey if I keep doing this, I'm getting put in my bed"
Must go pick up the munchkin, have a good day everyone :wave:0 -
I have good reason to feel victimised and bullied IN MY OWN HOME and no one will help me, i hate my life!!!! I HATE the fact that everytime i walk out my front door there are 15+ MUPPETS all staring me out and making me feel awkward walking out my front door with my kids.I am just one little weak person, i don't feel strong enough to have TWO little people needing me and depending on every example i set for them to become real grown up people one day, AND all this !!!!!! hating every second of my dire life in this dire shithole AND i want my ex to be a lovely nice man again and come and help me but he won't. Maybe he is right and i am in this mess because i deserve it!!!
And i can't get out of here til i decorate and i can't see how i can possibly do this when Amber is soooooooo demanding and can barely keep up with the general housework let alone do all this. I *think* my brain may explode.
I'm sure I could come round for the odd day and help you with decorating if you wanted although I should get the council letter done first.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Oh my, a lot of catching up to do so please forgive the looooong response..
You're probably right! Thomas was like this too from about then - poor thing ended up with (and still has a bit) terrible dribble rash too !
Aww, I havent seen that product but I will keep an eye out. And for those with dribbly babies- how do you deal with the dribble/fluff/!!!! in the folds of the neck? Im cleaning her neck all the time but it can get smelly and a bit red.
I'm with you girls on the weight loss! I think I *only* have a stone to lose but I've got to start toning my tummy! Michelle, I have the same worries about eating enough to keep milk supply up.

Buttonmoons wrote: »Septemeber at 10:45 I have 2 weeks to loose about 9lbs. I'm struggling so bad to lose weight as with the bulimia, binging and starving myself, my metabolism is shot to pieces, and don't even get me started on my hair, it's so terrible at the top with the thinning and it's down the sides now too, I have looked online and it does seem that bulimia is what is causing it, making my hair go into Telegen Efflevum (sp!) so basically because I'm mal-nutritioned, lots of my hair folicles are stuck in the resting stage. It gives me hope that it will grow back but I'm really sensitive about it and I was at a bbq and some young dude started calling me "Alex baldwin" because my crown is pretty patchy, and I ended up crying, but then I drank 5 of his beers and he left in a huff so hey ho!
Sorry to hear about your health problems. I had bulimia when I was younger and now get lots of throat infections due to damage caused. Whats the plastic surgery about, if you dont mind me asking? XX
The more i fall into my self pitying crap, the more i HATE my fking waste of space "mother". Where is she??! She's got 2 daughters who are following in her same lame footsteps as single mothers, she should KNOW how hard it is and want to help us but does she fook!! She sits on her fat arris acting like the world owes her a living, claiming benefits for incapacity because (according to the benefits assessors) she daren't leave the house and regularly wets herself. !!!!!!. No, she goes to Asda everyday for her multiple bottles of wine so she can sit on her backside all day getting her fadge out for pervs online (probably), and chainsmokes so much that she coughs her guts up so hard that she p!sses her pants. Get some tena lady, do your pelvic floor exercises, and be a mother you stupid lazy selfish cow!:mad::mad: I actually *hate* her. Being a mother myself i can never understand how you can be such a !!!!!! parent, but she genuinely believes that she's useful in society.
.
Are we sisters? :rotfl::rotfl:My mum has MS though and it suddently gets worse when she has to do anything that involves leaving the sofa. Shes not even going to my grandads funeral... and...... the last time she saw me was when I was 3 months pregnant!
Shes not even seen Ayana yet. When I gave birth to her me and hubby tried to ring her loads, she didnt answer though. I later found out she was in the pub.:(:(Can you imagine if something had happened to either one of us? She knew I was in labour too. I just ignored her calls for a bit after having a moan to my brother (both younger ones live with mum still, caring for her). Since then shes sent me texts, etc. She actually wrote "I cant believe your not letting me see my first grandchild... I have other problems in my life and I dont need it...":mad: Ive never said she couldnt see her! I know you should respect your parents and all that, but I honestly cant so the best thing is to just not bother. Is that awful?
