The recipe uses condensed milk which keeps them really soft and gooey. No idea if they would work with anything other than oats though, but probably worth a try. It's an OS recipe- I can dig it out if you like?
Not sure where to go this morning as it's rainy and horrid, and being sunday nowhere is open for hours. Might risk a Farmer's Market with a brolly.he's refused to called me anything for months - he's a subborn lil Bug-er!
If you can point me to the recipe I will be most gratefulTesco used to go a flapjack made with conny milk that DH loved so if its similar I'll be in good books :T

Krystal, the restaurant is lovely, absolutely gorgeous inside and the food was fab, tons of choice and really tasty. It was very busy though, there were people queing to get in when we left just after 9 and it was packed inside.
The drinks were quite pricey though and they made us pay £3 for each of the babies! 13 months and 17 months! Apparently you pay for the highchair, next time I will take the Stokke LOL
Krystal how about telling Aimee that she has to swap the DS for a DSi so she has 3mths ish for it to turn up and you can trade it in towards the cost of the DSi if it doesn't then clearly she can't be trusted?*shrug* (I hope thats not too harshhaving said that I'd prob say all that then buy anyway
I am regretting letting Christopher have free rein over my DS, I was gonna trade in some games and when I picked up the UP game it has been chewed!!! its too hard for him so I was gonna get rid but now he's made it almost worthless - I really wish it was easier to teach kids respect! My ipod has gone missing now too - baaaaaaaaah! EA did you find yours when you moved?
Any way I have exciting news
Edgar has finally realised free walking is a good way to get around :j:j:j He's been walking between DH and I when we 'make' him for a while but wasn't brave enough to take the leap himself until today when the lure of a boogie was too much  I even got a couple of the steps on video (albeit sidewards )0 -
You cant support 2 teams! Thats blasphemy! Both mine and DH's family (inc extended family) are all united fans! Ayana is one too.
Krystal tips, dont worry about the in laws, you are obviously great parents- a dsi and a wii?! Your LOs are very lucky to have you and from the sounds of it, they dont need anyone else.
I suspect he'll be fully United but the time he's old enough to understand! Especially since his Daddy and his adored Uncle are big United fans....I believe his Uncle is in the process of sorting a kit out for him. I did buy him Utd a babygro tho (reduced to £3 in sports direct!!) He will be brought up to be kind to Newcastle tho lol And while Mummy dresses him she chooses what he wears so when he fits into his Newcastle kit that will be on every match day.
It was my lie in today and he had a nappy leak onto his sleepsuit so DH had to dress him. I came down and he's in the smartest little outfit he owns (checky shirt and matching shorts) lol. I asked what the special occasion was :rotfl:I wanted him to wear it tomorrow really as we're out for for Dad's bday but oh well. I guess I should be grateful that he didnt wake me up to ask what he should wear
Michelle, you're definitely doing the right thing re sleep btw. If she thinks she's going to get played with when she wakes up then she'll expect it all the time. DH might like it now but when he's back at work (I think you said you're both teachers so guessing he's on summer hols?) then he won't be too happy if she wakes up wanting to play in the early hours.
Sounds like Fitz has decided to cut all ties perhapsMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Ugh, Morons are re-assembling the gazebo, looks like it's party time again. They only had one night off0

afternoon
We now have clapping!! not just one clap but loads together. He gets very excited whn he claps lol!! Although this morn at church, he was clapping as the Sunday School were finishing their presentation and when everyone else clapped he looked quite bemused lol!! is cruising along the couch far too quickly for my liking and being very brave and holding on with one hand to things, but hold his hands to have him take a few steps and he plonks his bum down on the floor lol!!
He is now having 7oz first thing and last thing at night. with 5oz in between. Yesterday he had 2 5oz bottles when he was with PIL. And ate some food as well. MIL has started to do a little sheet like he gets at nursery so we can see whats he eaten/drank/slept during the day. Am going to do it myself so I can try and establish some sort of routine for us.
Got his nursery photos on Fri, are fab...dont have a scanner to show you all so i will try and take a photo
Hope everyone is well'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Gill - Its a good job we're not really into football here, I would want newcastle, my dad man u, mum is l'pool and DH is wigan/everton lol Much easier to stick to Wigan rugby where we're all agreed0
-
its Liverpool all the way in our house. Its when it gets to the national teams we have 'issues' lol!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Beenie I think its time that gazebo has an accident
Jillie I think the sheet is a good idea, it really helped me when Chris was little. I bet all the church goers were impressed with his clapping too
We missed church this morning I officially fail at going places for set times! although might have managed it if I didn't have to spend 5mins looking for my purse then getting all my money out of the piggy bank that Christopher had put it in so helpfully0 -
Oh lovely! Ed woke up from his nap yesterday, sat up and rubbed his eyes while saying "mama?" I was so pleased I nearly cried

£3! I would blatantly be taking the antilop with me:rotfl:
Yay for walking and talking :T
To be honest they probably ate £3 worth of food each (in restaurant terms, not supermarket costs) they had a good plateful each and then tons of fruit. Much better value than buying them a kids meal!
Benjamin dicovered a love of corn on the cob - at first he didn't want to pick it up and couldn't work out how to eat it but once I showed him he devoured 2 pieces (about an inch and a half each!)
Benjamin is in bed, hubby has gone out and I am sat on here when I should be being productiveneed some inspiration and motivation.
