MFD do you actually know for sure that the agency didn't send your CV to the company? they should have asked you if they could but some hide it in silly terms

    brilliant pic Mel!!!

I spend £110 a weeks on shopping but do try to do it once a fortnight now as its too stressful and that way i make sure things are used up and nothing is wasted. I did bulk buy on nappies and wipes so wont have to buy until christmas lol! so that leaves a little extra for goodies and treats.
I dont think your weekly spend is too bad MOTM as a few of your girls are older so i guess they eat 'adult' sized portions. I do find spending money at the butchers is worth while as it lasts longer/doesnt shrink/tastes amazing compared to supermarket meats? I have also been offered a whole Lamb from a nearby farm very cheap so i think i will need to clear the freezer out and eat lamb for a good few months lol!!!

I suppose £250 isn't too bad considering, although I really should look at offers more. The girls are well trained and are always looking when we are out. I agree with you about butcher meats being better. Any supermarket meat we do get is from Morrisons. Wouldn't touch Tesco meat at all. We try to eat as little meat as possible though being animal lovers. I know I feel bad, but I have a limited taste pallete.

Talking of Tesco, can't stand the place and don't go there if I can help it, but we have £36 of vouchers and I saw an advert for doubling up or something, so will look into that.

Off to bed, think it's going to be a funny one as Lucy didn't get around to eating chocolates. Not feeling great :o

Welcome AB, nice to see another male. Not that for me having loads of females around is abnormal, but nice of you to join us. Let's hope for a boy in March 2011 eh. If anyone sees Lucy on her travels, don't even think about repeating that to her :rotfl:

And you are right, being a Dad is great. Can't think of anything better. Enjoy the baby years, they fly by fast.

Good evening all... If anyone is around?! lol

Well, Ayana slept so much during the day today. Tried our best to keep her awake but no way at all- even when cousins came over all chatting away!

So.... it's now 12.24am and she is still awake!    I dont mind as hubby is on hols from job at school and ive not got anything to get up for tomorrow but the poor little thing. I put her to bed at 7 but she awoke with a temperature at 8 ish. :( Were just giving her cuddles now. Shes not crying, just very quiet. Oh well, will see what tomorrow brings!

I was going to ask, I dont really know how old everyones LO's are (unless its in your signature) and which areas youre from?! I probably wont remember but it would be nice to know. :D

    Hi Michelle,
I think it's 'generally accepted wisdom' that young babies sleep better at night if they got more rest in the day (because they are more relaxed and not overtired). You may want to try things the other way round tomorrow and just let her sleep as much as she likes, but to be honest at 10 weeks old I don't think we had any hint of a 'routine' in Elijah's sleep pattern yet so maybe I am not the person to give advice.

On the very first page of the thread there is a list of all the regular posters and their children :) Sami can add you if you ask her. Elijah is my only child and he just turned 2 (second expected in December :))

    Morning all...!

Beenie, very bad about the letter that there's not even an acknowledgement - I would check the date you sent it, then phone up asking to confirm that it's been received (and when you can expect a response). Frustrating.

3, I cannot believe there's been no movement from bastage camp or the various people involved?? Don't give up! Another round of hassling everyone up to your MP is called for! :/
  • Congratulations Susan - am so pleased for you and that you are feeling better than last time:j

Had a great time in London - I love it there. Havnt read back through all the pages have I missed anything important..

Well done B & V on the stokke comp x

Hey AB and big congrats to AB family, Izzy is a lil cutie :) glad your enjoying been a daddy.

Rotten night here as T was being a wriggle bum and kept waking up, tho she hadn't had much sleep through the day so maybe that was why. Anyhoo it's all catching up on me again and am shattered! Was going to have a lie in as T was fast asleep but OH forgot his keys when walking Harvey and woke us up just after 7 :(

  • :rotfl: That's my outfit sorted next time I go out...I wonder of they do them in a 14 :rotfl:.

I collected it in Stoke :(

I will have to pop in in the morning.

Argh - one of my mummy friends has suggested that we meet at the wacky tomorrow afternoon but it is minging :( have politely prayed for some sunshine so we can go to Northycote Farm and Country Park for a walk instead

Oh - I sent that letter and CV to the company that I couldn't get an interview with and I received an email from their 'People Services Manager' saying that the post has been filled and the new person starts on Monday??? *confuzzled.com*

I wonder if they filled it internally and that's why the recruitment company didn't put you forward? Or maybe more that one recruitment company were recruiting and the other one was ahead of this one.

GISI - the only times Edgar has bitten me like you describe is when he wasn't hungry but I was auto pilot trying to feed him in the night and he was mysteriously crying a lot.

Bruno - i'd go for the toddler bed personally. I found that it was easier to let Chris stomp about his room and keep sending him back up the stairs for a few nights until he twigged it was better just to go to sleep.

Hammy - Christopher's eczema improved loads when we switched to goats milk and if he has too much cows milk now it makes him start itching within a couple of hours. He doesn't have a dairy allergy though, goats milk is still dairy.

We had plum baby savoury biscuits today and they were scrummy! Could deffo be used as an alternative to crackers too harking back to the cheese n cracker convo last night :)

Thanks Sami, he was much better yesterday so hopefully it was just a novelty!

We had those Plum crackers yesterday too. Very good with cheese and went down well with H.

Welcome Army Bike! Izzy is beautiful and I am glad you are enjoying fatherhood. It sounds like it's all going swimmingly for you all.

Michelle and MOTM- I hope you both got some sleep in the end.

  • Morning all. I've not been in for ages, I hpe everyone is ok. all good here - we had a lovely weekend away visiting my friend and her 3yo. He got a bit fed up with having a little girl who doesn't know how to share invading his space by the time we went home, but they were very cute together :)

We are getting proper spontaneous kisses now, they are fab :)

Oh, and we're off to a wedding tonight. We are invited from 5, so have got the in-laws to babysit, otherwise we could only go for a few hours. What is the betting thay she is still up when we get home (or that all 3 of them are asleep on the sofa :rotfl:.

No way I'm reading all the way back, but I must go find if Suan has any news. Anything else I should know about?!
