good idea evansangel - will have a check for that. Am I right in thinking if I use turbo lister (for the first time - eek!) then I can arrange it to upload while I'm not there i.e. once free listing starts ????
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

really good point - I knew I'd get sensible answers (which is what I need at the moment!)

Bruno, I was a bad mummy. At about 20months when DS1 worked out how to throw himself over the top of the cot we put him in a toddler bed for his own safety. They he started the wandering downstairs so we locked him in his room with a baby gate. Many a night he fell asleep at the door. With DS2 it was about 2 and a half years but he always went back into bed to fall asleep. And with Amber I will again put up a baby gate. I justify it in my head by saying we have stairs right at the room door... but really the gate was to lock them in the room.0

Now this I can see as a reason to buy a baby gate

Hi MFD!
Yep that was our only reason for a baby gate. Then later to keep the dog in the kitchen.0 -
RMac, what sizes are you selling? I still need 9-12 for El if you've taken the photos and decided how much you want you could email and I might be able to save you having to list some of it by buying it direct! (I hate listing, I have a spare room full of stuff to put on ebay)
I've just entered El into a competition to be a model for a local business, if it comes down to facebook likes, I'll be relying on you lot to help me beat any stray mexican babies!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

Just realised I didn't reply to this bit before - I'm sure I quoted it though. I did see about it, but unfortunately I was at work that day. Shame, I could have done with a few extra £20s in my wallet :rotfl:.Good luck Mr Krystal.
Lady I was looking for you the other day for tips on how to get them to stay in bed.
V learnt how to climb out of the cot, so we got her a toddler bed. Last night was only night two, and was slightly easier than night one, but I was holding her til sleep. There's a gate on the door but if I left her at the moment she'd just stand at the gate and scream.
That's pretty much what Izzy did to start with. We did controlled crying, so just left her to it, then went back after 5 mins to calm her down, put her back into bed, tuck her in, and leave her for 2 mins longer each time till she gives in and goes to sleep (still have to do it now sometimes if she is being a pickle) Eventually she gives up and stays in bed! When we did it to start with I think it was only the first night that she insisted on getting back up again then after that she stayed in bed and just whined from there before going to sleep. And sometimes if she is getting out of bed and yelling she will eventually give up and go back to bed. I know that doesn't suit everyone but might be worth a try? I do feel a bit mean (to her AND the neighbours!) leaving her to yell, but I think with your own child you know the difference between "I want my mum and I'm trying my luck" crying, and "I'm scared/hurt/ill" crying iyswim. I wouldn't leave her crying if it was the latter obviously!

you can but make sure you read the help page on how to do it, as I tried that the last free listing day but only set the schedule day and time in turbolister, when I came back on the monday from my weekend away they hadnt listed and on reading the help pages you have to send it to ebay (does seem quite easy to do).

Oh, and we are back from visiting a mummy friend at her new house - it is MASSIVE. I'm very jelous. 3 bedrooms with a normal bathroom, and en suite and a downstairs loo. And their open plan living room/dining room/kitchen is about the size of our flat. And they have a separate utility room on top of that and a big garden too. Anyone want to lend me 200K?!
Izzy was being a bit of a bully though - she is having a pushing people around phase at the moment, and kept pushing E into things. Poor boy didn't mind to start with but was getting upset by it by the time we left (part of the reason we left, I didn't want to traumatise the poor boy, although it was lunchtime too!). I know it is just a phase, so hopefuly it will end soon!)
She is currently lying on her table watching Timmy Time. I'm going to try for a nap in her own bed this afternoon, as it is raining and I don't want to get walk taking her out in the buggy. Wish me luck!
