  • Morning all -

Returned the Trunki this morning, much to the embarrassment of the poor lady on the click and collect desk in Sainsburys who had never done a return before and got really upset and flustered that she was keeping me waiting.

I didn't dare ask if she could order me another, she might have cried :o

Benjamin woke me at 7.10am () singing 'Twinkle Twinkle' - not the words but the tune was near perfect - hubby and I were amazed!!!
That was an interesting night! Andrew got one of these for his birthday (Fisherprice Waterfall soother):

It switches on & off with the toucan (bottom right). At 4am I heard it playing (over the monitor), I just presumed he had rolled over and pressed against the button in his sleep. It played for a while, stopped after a tune or two. A few minutes silence, and it started playing again. I got up and checked, thinking that I'd need to move him up the cot away from it ...... He was lying there, wide awake, huge smile on his face, watching it - he's obviously figured out himself that hitting the toucan makes it play! It all went quiet until about 6:30am when I heard it start up again!

So Andrew has figured out that pressing buttons on toys "does things". Remind me not to let him near my laptop :D

What an ace skill to learn on your birthday. Dunno if you do a baby book or whatever but this is definitely a story to make sure that you remember in the future.xx
Hubby has an interview this morning... It's for the job that is perfect for him and is very local so we're keeping everything crossed!! He definitely looked very smart when he left this morning :)

Something bit Aimee on the belly yesterday, they started off as 2 little bites and now they're quite big blotches... I'm guessing the general consesus is to stick sudocreme on it?

Good luck to Mr Krystal :T:T Just tell him to imagine that the interviewers like to watch Jonathan Creek naked and his nerves will disappear ;)

We had this with a bite on Benjamin's leg, nearly 2 weeks ago now - it started on the Monday as a tiny bite and by Tuesday it was a big scabby thing - got up to bigger than the size of a penny. It is still not quite healed properly but it is getting there slowly.

MIL used Sudocrem - I am a bad mum and left it to heal on its own :rotfl::rotfl:

Oops forgot - Good Luck for Krystals' dH!!

Caitlyn had her MMR on Wednesday. Since then her leg has been hot around where she had the jab, and she's become quite unsettled at night. Is that normal? Don't think Josh had any problems with his.

    Good luck Mr Krystal.

Lady I was looking for you the other day for tips on how to get them to stay in bed.
V learnt how to climb out of the cot, so we got her a toddler bed. Last night was only night two, and was slightly easier than night one, but I was holding her til sleep. There's a gate on the door but if I left her at the moment she'd just stand at the gate and scream.

Hammy how observant of you! :o I was up every few hours sweating and shivering. I was having a lemsip at 5am so thought i'd have a read while I drank it.
I'm picking up some anti-b's from the Dr's later because my throat has turned yellow and my ears/sinus/face hurt. :(

V was quite funny - everytime I woke up she was in some strange position. I woke up once and she was asleep on the floor next to her bed, with her quilt. Next time she had her legs on her bed, but head and hands on the floor in a handstand position - still asleep!, then at 5am she was inbetween OH & Me.

Awww 3 that does not sound fun :( hope the drugs work!

Hammy, my night was fine really - he went down at 9.30, got up at 6.40, no waking in the night... can't complain really :p wouldn't mind if there had been an extra 30 mins at each end but mustn't grumble :)
  • Ooohhh, where did you get the bargain wellies and where are the dinosaur anoraks and wellies?

    LOL@nekkid johnathon creek :p:p

I put sudo on it last night because she was making a fuss at bedtime... She's poked it a bit today but not asked for anything so I'm not volunteering anything...

Job interview went well apparently but he's not sure if he's what they're looking for... It's a team of middle aged women and he got the impression that he was a bit too young and male... But we'll see if he gets a call back for a 2nd interview... :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Thank you very much, mine is skills based too as I don't really have many qualifications apart from good GCSE's and a BTEC ND In Public Services
I'll PM you tomorrow if that's OK. I need to empty my PM box but going to bed now :o

I was Page 1 Contact, profile, achievements, then Page 2 - Career Progression, Page 3 Education/Training & References.
Have extended margins ;) and removed achievements as discussed in Career bit anyway. Now Down to Pages but references is on a 3rd page :(

thats fine - though I wouldn't put references on a CV so that might save you a page!
    MY TRUNKI IS BROKEN :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

One of the plastic bits that holds the clip on has snapped off.

I only just took it out of the box

    B00ger - I hate returning things.

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I collected it in Stoke :(

I will have to pop in in the morning.

Argh - one of my mummy friends has suggested that we meet at the wacky tomorrow afternoon but it is minging :( have politely prayed for some sunshine so we can go to Northycote Farm and Country Park for a walk instead

Oh - I sent that letter and CV to the company that I couldn't get an interview with and I received an email from their 'People Services Manager' saying that the post has been filled and the new person starts on Monday??? *confuzzled.com*

strange - but that leaves you free to take up any offer from the BIG BOSS you met at the SECRET HOTEL MEETING :D:p:p

I need some advice - Had a good clear out of LO's wardrobe. She is quite petite for her age and therefore isn't in the same size of clothing for her age IYKWIM. She got a lot of lovely presents last christmas and birthday which were either very wintry and only the size come high summer or were very summery but will only fit in the depths of winter! Typical. They cannot be returned as they ar eno longer in the shops, but have the tags attached. I'm going to ebay them. What would you do - put them on at a buy it now? if so what % of the original price? put them on auction? what about a 'reserve' or minimum price?

I also have some lightly used items that are too pink for my Sisters Little boy (!) so was thinking of selling those too. Most of them are whole outfits - am I right in thinking that bundles are a good wy to sell things, but for an 'outfit' in great condition its a good idea to list it by itself? Most things are from 'good' shops.

I've also just realised its a free listing weekend this weekend - if I get this done while LO is asleep and before I leave this afternoon, that would save a couple of pennies!

    so tips please.................................
