  • Which trunki is it Mfd?

Aimee insisted on going to bed in her wellies more than once... They made a slopping noise when we took them off after she was asleep lol...

The blue terrance one (bog standard LOL). Not my trunki of choice but for £19.99 it was too :money: to miss!

can i ask how much the trunkies are MFD?

£19.99, I collected in store so no delivery. They only have the basic blue or pink ones but so much cheaper than normal.

    he had 5oz at 6pm.
he usually has a bottle every 4 hours or so. but they are 5oz at a time.
maybe i need to stretch out the times between his bottles and maybe make them to 6 or 7oz. So he goes longer??

Am getting more and more confused about whats best to do. Maybe I'm trying to change too much at one time

wish DH would have a bit more input!! He just says 'upto you Jillie as you are with him more thane me'

4 hourly bottles seems quite frequent. Does he drain the bottles?
If he does, then I would probably give bigger bottles and try to get him to go longer between. Before he went to creche, J was having one at 7am, then 3pm and then 7pm. He wasn't waking for a bottle in the night then. *rollseyes*

We have Tooth Number 4 on the way (top right) - like buses these teeth :rotfl:

we realised that Kian is till having approx 30oz of milk a day that this is probably why we struggle to get him to eat as he's full a lot of the time. When he goes to nursery he eats a decent amount and often only has 3oz or less when he has the bottle. So we think there is a connection.

So we are cutting down on the amount of milk he's having in the hope that he will eat more. I might be wrong though and he might just be not interested in food (MIL says that DH was similar and loved his milk. till he was about 1 he didnt eat very much)

One bottle i want to get rid off is the over-night one. This is really comfort feeding as he falls asleep drinking it. So we are going to reduce the amount of milk gradually to wean him off it. And only give him the bottle if he wont settle back asleep after say 30mins or so.

    Ah - I see!

TBH, I would work on 1 bottle at a time. 'They' say they should get most of their nutrients from milk until 1 so try not to worry too much, especially not if DH was the same.

If it is the night bottle that is the main one that you want to kick I would concentrate on that one to start with.

    Just my two-pennorth!

ps - Benjamin still has at least 21oz a day, without even thinking about what he has in food :o

Jillie, S gradually weaned himself off his bottles, he now has one first thing, one before his nap and one before bed. Is it that you're worried he isnt eating enough? Could you try keeping him awake for longer between nap times so he doesnt notice he's getting hungry cos he's too busy sleeping perhaps?
S doesnt really eat lunch still at 18 months - he eats a quarter of a sandwich and a yogurt most days, if that much! He fills his boots with breakfast and dinner, and where he usually has his (still epicly long :D) 2-3 hour nap around 11am he is usually full from his bottle. It doesnt bother me, if he's happy I'm happy :o

i constantly worry he's not eating enough :( My mum tells me not to worry as he is thriving and that he will one day 'get' the whole food thing. He's started now to try and take food from my plate which i am taking as an interest in food. :)

he only has 2 naps during the day usually 30- 60mins. sometimes more.

i need to stop comparing what Kian eats with everyone else (much much harder to do than type)

Anybody want to compare with what Andrew eats? :rotfl: He's still getting most of his calories from formula milk (500ml total, 4 bottles/day), and shows no signs of wanting to give that up. He'll happily eat breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner, but doesn't want very much. He still hasn't grasped the idea that food comes in any form other than mush on the end of a spoon. If I try him with BLW-style food on his tray, he ignores it, won't even pick it up let alone put it in his mouth (unlike toys!)

My baby woke up crying :( It's totally unheard of at this time. I don't know if he's hungry perhaps as he was too tired to feed properly on his last feed, and his teeth seemed to be bothering him during the one before that as he was whinging and struggling :( I was having a nice relaxing bath (1st one for months!) and had to quickly get out incase he needed feeding. DH set his seahorse going and he's dropped back off again so hoping it was just a one off.

    Hi Bekki

Don't think I have welcomed you yet, so welcome:)

Also your dd is born one day after I had ds2, and my ds3 is also a Kai, born 15/03/09:D

Random comments but just thought it was interesting:)

    Thanks Mel, randoms good. :)

Hopefully your Kai gets called by his name, mine is always called Si by people who dont know him (drs etc)

Benjamin's hair gets madly curly when he gets hot. I am going to cut it soon I think (although MIL will kill me LOL)

Was supposed to take Cyi this week as his fringe is straight and really long (looks a bit like a comb over) and the sides are to his shoulders if you brush them, and then the backs short and very tightly curled so looks a bit of a mop!

We did, though I am now completely worn out! It's been quite emotional, looking back at photos, receiving everybody's good wishes, remembering what we've been through :o

Gill, Andrew had a week of waking up around 9pm crying for no apparent reason (bad dreams?) He'd settle quickly again afterwards. ...... Did you make it to TC today, you mentioned going - we were there mid-afternoon.

Glam, my CV was two pages. And obviously worked :j I start Monday :j
