EA, could the fact you keep your thermometer under your pillow be a problem? I know mine has to be at room temperature before I start so yours might be a bit warm under the pillow.

Not to sure, it always has the 'LOW' sign come up when i turn it on.

Its a digital Thermometre so its turned off most of the time.

oh and before anyone asks, I don't know why blisters on his balls and bum means hand, foot & mouth, thats what creche said - you'd think they'd call it hand, foot, bum & mouth :rotfl:

Just jumping in with a quick question before i catch up.

I saw a table and stool set in Tesco today (link) and so bought it for my nephew. On my way home i went to see sis to ask if it was ok and to make sure he didn't have one already.
Anyway she wants it now, and said she'll buy it off me (i don't mind this, gives me another chance to bargain hunt ;))

She said she'll swap it for her Chicco Polly (which i admired when Amber was sat in it as she looked so comfy). The highchair has a rip in the seat cover.

Should i do it? Not keen on my current highchair, i have to sit her on an extra cushion or the tray is too high (but obv she's gonna grow so won't always be a prob)

Sami you had one didn't you? Any reason i'd hate it? :p

beenie - did you actually have her eating in the polly? Ed doesn't like ours thats at mum's, the tray is too high and the back is too reclined.
where is the rip? is it on the top layer because you can use it without that if you want

Hammy and MDW - see you there! ;) The face of Mr G will not be priceless as you will be random people with children that just happen to come for a chat

We have tooth Number 3  bottom right. Creche think he might have hand, foot & mouth again as the blisters on his mouth are bad and he know has some around his balls. :(

:rotfl:At least I really am Welsh which must help Mr G to some extent???

Big hugs - I really hope J is ok

Yeah she was eating in it and the footrest was right up so she looked v.snug and the tray seemed low enough for her to rest her elbows on, unlike the one we have now!

The rip is exposing some foam and is where her bum would be (if i remember rightly!)
  • Hope you all have a lovely time tomorrow - dont forget to post pics on fb!

Has anyone heard from Mel?? noticed she hasnt posted for a few days

she must be tall or maybe Edgar is small lol
Its a common thing for the plastic to split around the hole for the between the leg strap if that's where it is then you'd find that on a lot of 2nd hand ones (not mine tho ) here's mine showing how you can take off the top layer [REMOVED] click to enlarge
also I find it a right faff to clean up, there are bits that get food smooshed into and the only way to get it out if with a co'cktail stick. the fabric does come off for scrubbing/washer and the straps can be shoved in the washer too but I still prefer my ikea cheapy:p

Can any of you charting ladies (that have all now run off probably :p) point me in the direction of some easy to follow info on it? or should I just read the FF stuff? I use the iphone app but I only chart my af.
I have a good digi ear thermometer can I use that for charting?
also is there a 'rule' about when in the morning to take it? I'm usually up to feed Ed at 5/6 ish but always go back to sleep for a few hrs again after
