    evening!

    am peed off!!!!!!!!!!!

brought the 'funky footprints' mat back to boots and said i'd take another one if it worked. so they tried and it didnt. so they gave me my money back. went to the ELC shop and picked one up and asked the guy behind the till to make sure it was working and guess what....it didnt. he tried all the ones that were on the shelf and none worked!!

so 6 were tried all with brand new batteries and non worked so it looks like there is a fault on a batch of them out there.

am tempted to write to ELC and say how disappointed i am etc....

i know kian would have had great fun with it.

so now i need to think of something else for him.

might get a stairgate that i obv need now he can climb the stairs

Oh no I didn't - I was skim reading cozI was in a rush. I'll read back now.

I know Woolston well (grew up there and had swimming lessons in that pool) but I haven't been for aboutj 5 years. Might look at taking him there then I can go back to parents and wash hair etc while parents look after T

ETA thanks for the offer - is it the lindam one which requires screwing in? If it is OH said I wasn't allowed it lol. Trafford has the other lindam one with the suction thing so I just bought that for £15 as it was still the cheapest I'd seen. Although we haven't measured up yet to see if it will actually fit so may be going back anyway!

I bought the car seat along with this to take it up to £25 for the free delivery. My mum was going to get him something similar for Christmas so she's going to give me the money and put it away until then.

I don't think I'll ever dare by anything FP in the baby event again!

It doesn't screw in, it just screws against the wall so is held by pressure.

We have that ride on! PIL bought it in last event but he's not used it yet, not sure if he's too little. Gonna try him on it tomorrow.

    God Bless Asda! :p

had a lovely day in Birmingham with my aunt, uncle and cousins. kian was very good and the coach was fab! he slept on the way and the way back. Although i can imagine it would be quite hard if i was on my own with him.

Sounds as if it's the same one as mine then. Thanks for the offer but I'll stick with the one I've got as it's a lot of messing for the sake of a fiver as I'd have to take mine back as well. Jillie wants a stairgate ^^^^^ and lives in Manchester lol

Jillie is welcome to it if she can transport it back as I know she doesn't drive.

Jillie - glad christening went well, not been on at same time as you since. Crap about the ELC thing though

What do you guys think of this car seat as a spare to keep at Mum and Dad's?

    It's reduced to £15

I think that's mine (and Mels) carseat but in a different colour. It's fine, V is nice and comfy in it and it's simple enough to fit. I think i'll buy another at that price, so I don't have to keep swapping between mine and MIL's cars.

I'm looking at getting T a swim seat for when we go swimming (well duh lol) There's a few different types. Any advice/suggestions on whether it's worth it and what I should be looking for? We didn't have one the first time we took him but DH was with me. It would be just me and him next time.

I've got a yellow swim seat here, I think it's floaties?!? It's too small for V now, PM me and the fairies will bring it.

Glam Is the gate the blue fabric pressure fitted one? I didn't notice them in my Asda (or online). Joe appears to have bent ours this afternoon, because it won't expand/shrink. Because of the way our stairs are, I cant put the screw in white one on. If they have them, i'll send OH out for one tomorrow (and some more nappies).

hehe! If I was going that way I'd drop it off as it is I'll need to get out of Manc at 4pm and pick J up before creche finishes!

Might go to bed now I think, I've got 2 reports to write but I'm too tired. Will do in the morning while OH is in bed. :)

I got 17 out of 24 on the Chapter 2 test.

Krystal, I don't know why but your paella in your best dish just made me laugh. It's the type of thing we'd do here too!
