SJ it was lovely having Emily over. Their so different to each other, it's unbelievable there's only 10 days between them! They went back home today so it may be a while before we see them again which is a shameMIL wasn't too bad really, I felt a bit put on the spot a few times but we arranged most meet ups away from there house so didn't have to see them that often. Did you say anything to MIL about taking the food from Alfie? I can offer you a box of rusks to smack her round the head with
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I kept saying "it's ok, Alfie will be fine" but you could see her like a cat ready to pounce any time a bit big went in. To be fair he had a large strip of steak and was literally stuffing it in his mouth with a stick of something else :rotfl: But he was fine! After she did it a couple more times I kicked DH and shot him The Look and he told her more firmly to stop.
My dad is well on board with it though - he thinks it's just fab. Mum isn't too bad but still thinks he needs something to fill him up (obviously totally disregarding the fact that he is full up, and I AM NOT STARVING HIM!) but after seeing him this week swallowing lots I think this may quieten her down a bit when she next sees him to be honest. He ate the whole stick of cheese I gave him tonight so he's doing really well.
Glad the visit went well though but it is a shame the 2 girls won't see each other very often
In other news I have just bought a Sophie for Alfie.0 -
I'm glad my parents are really on board regarding Isla's eating habits. I sent them a piccie of her having spag bol yesterday and my dad rang to ask should he put a tarpaulin down when we go over! :rotfl:
This is Isla & Emily last week, not the best pic but the only one I can find atm. We took them to the pub for lunch lol.
Sophie's fab! I can't wait for Isla to get the rest of her Sophie bits next week, it'll be Sophie overload!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
How bizarre that both ur AF returned at the same time boo and hammy!!
Boo, yes I know what u mean about the eating clicking all of a sudden, I think that may be related to T sleeping better too. Yay to hopefully not having to go back to work and yay to buying a house, I was looking at right move earlier for no apparent reason, lol, always love the idea of moving to an older house. I think u should go down the 'get pregnant and get paid ML again' route har har!! Infact I should give that more thought too, although am going back for 2 days a week so not bad really.
Right I'm off to bed now, nite xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
PS Hammy, omg that's excellent that D can stand for that long on his own, it's amazing how different they all are at the same age isn't it!! Hope ur nite is better than expected xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0

:hello:Hello fellow November mummies, and everyone else of course!
All the babies sound so cute at the moment!
I can't believe that Isla and David are standing on their own, that is incredible! We also love Zingzillas in this house- H mostly dances to it in what OH calls his 'missionary position', wiggling his bum :rotfl:.
My AF came back just over a month ago, but hasn't been as bad as I expected. We're pretty much down to four feeds a day here, although apparently he's not bothered about milk during the day when I'm not around :rotfl:.
Gorgeous pic, Boo!
I agree that Sophie is fab. She is still a big hit here!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Thanks FBB, I am sure D has progressed so well simply because he is awake far more than other babies his age :rotfl:
In respect of sleep tonight, it would be Sod's Law he sleeps well just because I know I won't being so bunged up..... anyone fancy placing bets :rotfl:
Really good to see you posting again FBB :T

Hammy- I thought of you the other day when I was talking to a friend of my Nan's. She was saying that he eldest daughter didn't really sleep at all, just wanted to play all the time. She said that she was walking by 10 months, and it made me think of D!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Gisi my mum said the same thing about me, apparently I rarely slept in the daytime and was walking at 34 weeks. I had my poor mum drove insane!
Have the November mummies frightened everyone off?
I've just been on fb and an old school friend posts on a group called 'shexii mummysz' Some of the things on it are unbelievable. They ask for advice on preg symptoms or baby stuff then everyone replies. There's one about weaning and people saying 'I started at 5 weeks' or 9 weeks etc :eek:Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
All bets are off - the little monster has woken
Are we November mummies really that scary? The one thing children wear out faster than shoes is parents:D

Oh no. Is that supposed to mean Sexy Mummies?! Does anyone else who reads things like "I weaned at 5 weeks" just instantly disbelieve them or am I too sceptical?0
