MOTM, the midwife will probably be in touch. If they book you in at 8-9 weeks then you'll probably get a letter in the next week or so... Wouldn't hurt to chase, but I doubt you'd get forgotten...
My Mum posted some really old pictures on facebook last night and there's a picture of me holding a tiny baby... I have a scary feeling that it's Aimee's half brother :eek:A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

MOTM - I wasn't seen by the mw until quite late on this time; think I was already 11 weeks (they didn't contact me til at least 9 weeks to make that appointment) - according to our HV they are really pushed for time at the moment, and have been affected by government cuts, though this might just be Somerset?
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Lucy's concern that she'd be forgotten, which puts a seed in my head too. I will chase up later this week if no-one has been in touch
Old pictures - a sure fire way to embarrass. How old would Aimee's brother be now?redstararnie76 wrote: »MOTM - I wasn't seen by the mw until quite late on this time; think I was already 11 weeks (they didn't contact me til at least 9 weeks to make that appointment) - according to our HV they are really pushed for time at the moment, and have been affected by government cuts, though this might just be Somerset?
We are just over the border in Devon. Not sure if there will be any connection - most likely Devon & Cornwall whereas you may be Somerset and Avon? Probably will all be in the same boat though with the cuts, which is appalling considering.0 -
MOTM - it's obviously different here but we just make an appointment with the MW who visits the surgery every Wednesday morning.
Krystal - trying to get my head around your post - your ex's son? Before you had Aimee or after?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

MOTM - I pushed as I didn't know how pg I was - I wasn't keeping track of dates or anything as I'd just had a failed IVF so my head was elsewhere so I pushed as I needed to know as I could have been anything from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks. Coupled with the trip away I wanted to make sure baby was ok.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Oh right, we were told a midwife will be in touch with an appointment.Krystaltips wrote: »He'd be about 17/18 now... I wouldn't know him if I walked past him in the street though...
Old old pics then. I wouldn't know most of my family if I walked past them in the street.MadDogWoman wrote: »MOTM - I pushed as I didn't know how pg I was - I wasn't keeping track of dates or anything as I'd just had a failed IVF so my head was elsewhere so I pushed as I needed to know as I could have been anything from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks. Always better to push if worried though. MW will work out i'm the pusher and Lucy is the quieter one, so the MW can tell me off0 -
3 - i think your pram is darker red than mine, this seems to be more of an orangey red but is lovely!!! i was jumping up and down when i realised what they had sent me as i did expect them to be different colours. The older style has the multicoloured circles inside whereas the new style is cream. cant wait for pics
does L know my user name yet:D:D
Tara i did look into coming for the meet but money is tight as the new car isnt big enough(cant ge kids and buggy in!) I think with it being the school holidays its harder for people to get away and also a lot have work commitments. I would have loved to meet up with you all again soon and plan on making another meet this year.
Every lady i have met from here have been so lovely and kind and really went out their way to help me out and support me. there are so many people here that would do anything to help and you are one of them. I really hope you realise how much your opinions and advice are appriciated and change your mind xxx
Advice needed again! Erin has stopped eating, there is no real reason why and she will eat sweet things if allowed and is drinking plenty. she is definatly not going waste away anytime soon so im not making a big deal out of it just not sure what to do?What's for you won't go past you0 -

MOTM, it was definitely more than a week before I heard from the MW...just remember the NHS aren't too speedy so you have to give them time to get everything processed. You could chase, but I doubt it would do any good beyond, "the referral has been sent, they will be in touch".
Tara, I'm confused and hope you're okay...sounds like there's something else going on or you've had a rough day? SM has done a great job in trying to organise everything so that those not in the NW area can meet up - it just happens to be bad (financial) timing for us, otherwise I would love to make it and could even ride up with Jenny on the train!! I was in USA, so only skim-reading the thread at best, when arrangements were made, but I did make my apologies a few days ago IIRC. However, I don't think people should defend why they cannot/chose not to come, as participation on a online thread does not automatically mean 100% of people are interested in meeting IRL.
(MOTM, you weren't personally invited because meets are open invitations...anyone who wants to come is welcome, regular poster or not!)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
