    Evening...can't stop (again)

Not sure if I will make Brum, but if I do I will be by car anyway, so will go straight to the Think Tank...tbh I am not sure I trust my car and I am NOT taking my rowdy older two, a handful of a tot and a whinging baby all that way on a train, I would seriously kill someone!!!

Who wanted 3 wheeler puschair advice?? I can HIGHLY recommend a MOUNTAIN BUGGY. They are absolutely fantastic and off roading is like pushing it on smooth tarmac:D I have a double, and even with my two lumps in it, I have no problems walking across fields with the dog, amd can still push it one handed, it is honestly the best pushchair in the world;)

My baby boy is poorly, he seems to have developed a hacking cough overnight:( he woke with a bit of a temp this morning too, although that doesn't seem to have stayed, but the poor baby keep doing this hollow barking cough, He is in bed but keeps waking when he coughs I am going to nip off and run the shower and sit in the steam with him for a while, hopefully that helps......

Might try and pop back later but am still sorting bags of clothes and wardrobes, I also need to try and get the tesco shop done!!!

    Mel x

I'll swap with all of you. I have a baby who pops up from being fast asleep howling her little heart out and a husband who yells at her (assuming she's throwing a tantrum) without getting his !!!!! up to see that she's howling because she's thrown up all over herself :(

My OH can be like this! It irritates the hell out of me. If Jack is whinging he moans at him to be quiet but doesn't realise the poor kid has trapped his finger or smacked himself with a toy or something/

Aren't the tantrums great though?? *Serious eye rolling*
Jack's back was all red earlier because I was trying to grab him while he threw a tantrum whilst I was changing his bum and was trying to stop him spreading poo everywhere!

I'm getting tantrums as there are only 2 items of clothing that Katie is happy to wear - she classes them both as her Dorothy dresses, and if I insist on her wearing something else as they dresses need a wash it's the end of the world.

She had a paddy at lunchtime as she didn't want banana - face down on the settee for 5 minutes she then gets up and eats it.

I'm definitely convinced she's having the terrible two's late.

  • Evening all. The monster finally sleeps! Stupid teeth/cough/overtiredness combination. I had to sit in with her when she went to sleep too, so I expect we will be back to CC again later in the week when she calms down.

Now to eat my tea and get myself to bed before she wakes up again I think! I hope everyone else is ok. SS is she poorly, or just "one of those things". Grrr at your DH anyway.

Thanks for this. I'm not intending starting for sometime yet but just want to get reasearching/preparing.

MFD - I would love to hear your experiences if you have time, no rush as he's only 3 months old.

If I need to start early for hunger reasons (he's a big tall boy!) would it be feasible to do baby rice and then move onto BLW or would that just confuse/mess things up?

Gill - what I did was learn a tiny bit about BLW and a tiny bit about pureeing and then stuff it all and do what the hell I liked and whatever suited Benjamin.

When you just make it up as you go along then life is easy :D Apparently there are 'rules' about weaning but nobody told Benjamin about them so he won't judge me for it!!

We still do whatever we fancy - Benjamin can wield a spoon but so can I.

IMHO you need tons of patience to do full on BLW I am too impatient for that. And I am too lazy to do purees. We just made up our own rules :D

Katie watches me put them in the washing machine, take them out, hang them up to dry then spends the next couple of hours asking every 5 minutes "dress dry?"

These aren't even fancy dress dresses, there ones that she would where day to day!
