Giving them purees shouldn't interfere with BLW and you can be sure they're getting some solids into them, but if they're used to wielding their own spoons it can be hard to convince them to let you feed them so things can get messy

Would you feed her the puree or let her do that bit herself too?

We did something quite similar Gill, I wanted to be sure she was getting some solids because she was clearly hungry but it was a week or so before I gave her chunks of anything to chomp on/wave around her head/bang on tables.

Edit: I normally feed her purees but if we're at home she has her own spoon and can dip.

Gill - I did purees & stuff but very quickly introduce finger food as well.
He now tends to have a meal I feed him followed by finger food for pudding, or finger food followed by a yoghurt.

They did nothing at mine, they didnt even check my stitches

Aless - on the BLW thing, E can feed himself (either by picking it up or me giving him the spoon) and he's only 4 months old ETA I see you said usually 6 months lol doh

No I cant make it this time Im off out for my first night out in like over a year on the 14th so skint for this month, I will deffo make the next one though cos I am dying to meet you all and all the babies

If you walk dead slow you could probably drag it out to 15 mins... But I'd say more 5mins...

I started off BLW with Caitlyn... When she reached the point she wanted to eat more than she could be bothered to poke in there I did spoon the occasional bit in, but she kind of got past that... And I think I also offer more snacks now so that probably helps...

I also always feed her yoghurt because she's a messy moo and I don't want to be scraping it off the walls / out of the carpet... But it's about the only thing I do spoon into her... She likes to feed herself shepherds pie with a spoon I find an unbelievabowl great for those kind of meals...

I started off spoon feeding Katie, however, she soon got fed up with that and wouldn't let me feed her, she even ate Christmas dinner with her fingers!

I'm getting frustrated, I need to renew out contents insurance and nowhere accepts Electron for the deposit.
