Also, MFD, just noticed your sig - 11 lb in 20 days? Well done!! What's your secret (not that I can ever be bothered :o).

Thank you for noticing :A It is actually in less time than that because I didn't start until the 6th :D

I am low-carbing, a French diet called the Dukan Diet. Hubby is doing it too and apart from last saturday night where we went out for BILs birthday and had drinks and an italian we have been very good :D

It is only because I can see the weight shifting that it is maintaining my interest.

Thank you all for your kind words, I really appreciate it. I didn't mean to come on here crying for sympathy and dragging the thread down with my misery though, so sorry for that.

I am tired and the weather was absolutely horrendous this morning, but we have had a very good productive day today. Dh 'made me' go out down town with him, so we decided to see if we could find some outfits for the kids for their blessing.....we have bought them the most fabulous outfits, they are going to look so sweet in them. we then stopped for an egg and bacon toastie and dh discovered that carphone warehouse stocked the Dell Streak phone, he has been dying to get a look at it, well we ended up walking out with one for him!! We then decided that as the kids had been stuck in the buggy for so long we would take them to the indoor play area, which K loved and we had some tasty cheesy chips. On returning home we found a note in the letterbox that a parcel was next door, it turned out to be our sky hd box that we only ordered yesterday, and wasn't due to come until 26th.....so dh was well chuffed and has nearly installed it... I also managed to bag the last pack of gogos from argos so the older boys will also be over the moon when they get home.

I didn't get myself anything, but I never do, as I can't bring myself to spend money on me. I did see a lovely dress though, and thought it would look lovely for the blessing....I will have a look for something in my wardrobe although I already know I have nothing!! I actually haven't cried today....yet!!!

Keely - sorry to hear about your MIL. Hope she is more comfortable soon. Pleased Elliot is feeling better.

SM - hope the counselling session goes ok.

Redstar - Hope everyone feels better soon.

Caz - yay for Charlie on the potty :j

Buttons - that's pants about the wedding. If he's not that close to you, I wouldn't bother going and don't worry about the money. It's their fault for booking when you hadn't confirmed you were going.

I had an Uncle (also called John!) who I rarely ever saw. He never kept in contact with me and never even sent me a Christmas card. I used to send him one from my family, and he still used to send one card to my Mam and Dad, with mine and my brothers name in?! My brother didn't live with my parents then either. That really offended me as he was at my wedding and I'd sent birth announcements after I had the boys (which were not acknowledged) so he knew fine well I had a family of my own.

Anyway I'd met Craig and he wanted to get to know the boys better, so in one half term holiday, he booked a day off work and we planned on going to a local water park for the day. Unfortunately my Uncle died and his funeral was planned for the same day, and Craig was unable to get his day off work changed.

Weighed up the options and decided it was far more important for Craig to have his fun day with the boys, rather than drag the boys to a funeral of someone who showed no interest in me and didn't even acknowledge that the boys existed. Caused friction in the extended family, but I feel I did the right thing for me, rather than what was expected of me.

Mel - glad you are feeling a bit brighter. I would get the dress if you can. You deserve a little treat now and again.

Been to work and as it was all covert work, Josh decided to come with me. Had a right giggle, but he slipped and put his knee through his trousers so he was walking round with a huge hole in his knee, then he bought a hot dog, smothered it in sauce and dropped it down his white t-shirt. He looked like a right scruff :o
Here I go again on my own....

Beenie - I'm just off out but is Amber near to needing 9-12mth clothes and if so would you like a pair of lemon leggings for her? I got them 'free' using your voucher :D
and yes if anyone is wondering I did buy some girls leggings for my son :p it was a 2pk and the other pair are navy and white stripes so totally ok for him to wear IMO :p

As Ambercat is too wee, any takers?

Mel - I'd get that dress that you saw today :) There are no rules about what to wear anymore.

On Baptism Sunday's at my parish church we get an interesting variety of outfits.
