Jakesmummy, I've been like that the past few weeks. Barely leaving the house, using the weather as an excuse... but really... I feel fat and minging and slummy and tired all the time.

When beef is a little brown I always just whack it in a pan quickly so hubby doesn't see it!!

Another way to check is if you break one open - if the inside is still pink then they should definitely be okay. If the inside was brown I might be thinking twice...

I'm just looking at an ad for slimming world in the local paper.

I caught site of my nude belly(s) in the mirror earlier - it wasn't pleasant.

thanks for the links for the wooden trucks...i hadnt even thought about the laminate flooring (doh!!!).

maybe not such a good idea.

We got Alice a wooden one from Mothercare:

She still plays with it now as a pram/pushchair for her "babies" so I'd defintiely say it's got good play value in it. The one they do now is slightly different (it's the Early Learning Centre design) but I imagine it's fairly similar - the reason we went with the Mothercare one rather than the ELC one (this was before Mothercare bought ELC) is that we wanted the blocks with letters on too.

Stupid COW from the council just been to say they're closing the case down as "there is no noise" and if i think there is then it's "an acceptable" level.

I got angry and told her i'll be making a written complaint about her and the way she's handled it. And i will continue to complain.

Beenie, have they actually been round since I was there to observe the noise? Because when I said that I didn't think the complaint should be written off on the basis of that one test, she said that it wouldn't.

Got a standard blah blah blah response from Clarks Customer Service saying that their stores stop fitting childrens shoes 15 minutes before they close because it takes 15 minutes to fit them.

Yeah right, it didn't take 15 minutes to buy Benjamins first shoes and that included all the taking the photo palava.

Krystal - did you say that there was a nice shoe shop in Lichfield?
