  • Want to try T with a sandwich, could I give him that for some of his dinner? suppose I just have in my head that sardines are for lunch?!

I am sure that Toby could have either a sandwich or a sardine as part of his dinner....perhaps even a sardine sandwich???

    ;)

Becles- good on the lady with the 8 week old. I was back at the gym when H was three months, but I was really lucky and had a very good recovery from my c-section. Not sure I could have done boot camp at 8 weeks though!

Beenie huge hugs and i would be raging also! keep complaining and go above her, go to the MP, papers and anyone who will listen!!

my HV just turned up and my house is like a bombsite :( spoke to her for a while and she is phoning to get me an app ASAP to speak with someone. im not sure if i should be relieved or terrified that she thinks i need to speak to someone so quick?
going to head out for a while as i cannot get motivated to tidy up? dont even know where i will go lol!

I am really glad to hear that your HV is acting quickly- that is exactly what they should be doing! It is definitely a good thing rather than something to be worried about.

thanks for the links for the wooden trucks...i hadnt even thought about the laminate flooring (doh!!!).

maybe not such a good idea.

do really like the wooden trucks though. i'm thinking that as he gets older he can put things in it and pull it along. have found this one on ebay... which i think is really good value http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Little-Steps-Solid-Wood-baby-Walker-Blocks-BRAND-NEW-/200498495066?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Baby_Nursery_Furniture_ET&hash=item2eaea43e5a

i wish i lived near an ikea as that truck is nice.

I would be more than happy to pick one up for you and post it. Not sure how much it would cost to post but if that's the one you really want then H and I are in the Ikea cafe most[STRIKE] days [/STRIKE] weeks anyway.

Yes, the only shoe shop worth bothering with IMO... It's Friary Shoes Avoid it in the last week of August / first week of September tho!!

My baby brother became a Daddy this morning :D:D A little boy called Dante Stephen... Only weighs 5lb something!

Congrats to your brother and to you on becoming an Auntie!

Had an awesome last swimming lesson. I can't wait to take H back in September when they re-start. I wish there wasn't such a long break, but I can understand why p it would be hard for people with an older child to take their LO when big ones are off school.

Popped into work looking like a drowned rat after swimming and have arranged to go for a few odd days before I go back properly in four weeks . I actually am really looking forward to it :D.

Fitz- what date are you back? Is it the 16th? That's when I'm back. How was your[STRIKE] dirty[/STRIKE] posh night away?

Hello \o ....may I join your thread? My name's Becci, I live in London with my wonderful OH (I say wonderful, most of the time...like everyone else sometimes he can be a pain in the a$%e) and my not-quite-3 year old son. I have 2 wonderful SD's as well, they stay every other weekend and adore their little brother and my son idolises his sisters, even if it means he is forced to wear a tutu and tiara most visits :-). Just wanted to come on as I'm still relatively new to London, and although work full-time, don't get to meet people or make new friends....gets a bit lonely up here! Thanks for having me :-)
;);) Better to say nothing and look a fool than to speak and remove all doubt :D:D

Alice is obsessed with carrots. Instead of telling me when she's hungry, she's taken to going in the fridge, getting a carrot, washing it and then eating it. At least she doesn't have extravagant tastes.

Nooooooo! Tell him where to go! You're so much better off without him and the hassles he causes you.

I'm a crap mum and I've had enough.

Errr that's a load of crap and you know it! Everyone has their off days where the place is a tip and nobody does what they are told. Don't sweat about the housework and see if you can have a rest or maybe have a nice soak in the bath once the little ones are in bed.

Of course you can! It's lovely to meet you. It's a little haven of sanity on here from all the other stresses of life :)
