Is lola a dog or a cat? Its common for both mummy dogs and cats to let other animals feed from them. I'm guessing they have less social stigma attatched to breast feeding other infants lol! And it happens even if the feeder isnt lactating at all. Taps into their maternal instincts. Entirely normal for a baby or young animal to try and find the comfort they had from their mum.
Was the kitten actually weaned from mum do you know or juts removed? It does happen more when the kitten wasn't weaned (ie mum cat gets cranky and nips them when they try to feed).0 -
Lola is a 7 month old cat and the kittens were removed early due to the woman moving to Ireland as her husband was an immigrant and couldnt get a visa for here. i wouldnt have taken them so early but im not too sure what would have happend to them and i couldnt have let anything happen to them!
they are all so funny together and now rule the house! What's for you won't go past you0 -
Hi again, well it looks like it wasn't just teething bothering Elliot-we've both got tonsilitis
I managed to get a last minute appointment as I was worried about him. I took a look in the mirror and i've got the classic symptoms (spots on my tonsils)...so more nasty pills to take!

Awww the poor baby! And you Keely, but mainly the baby. Hope you both feel better soon.0

I would just leave them to it Caz, if Lola didn't want the kitten to do it, she'd let her know!
Keely, make sure you take painkillers, cycle Ibuprofen and paracetamol. It really makes a difference to how you're feeling, do the same with Elliot and I hope you both feel better soon xx
Incidentally, we start holidays next week so if you want to meet up somewhere over your way just let me know
Caitlyn's being decidedly cute... She was running round with a blanket over her head and giggling like mad with Aimee, and since she had her tea and got out of the chair she keeps squating down like she's about to jump, then running a couple of steps...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... It was just that the MW felt that as H had been 15 days late with no ill effects it might just be that my gestation (or should that be my babies' gestation) is at the longer end of normal, if that makes any sense!
So for example when they found out I had risk factors for "Gestational Diabetes", they just gave me a glucose tolerance test. They told me I needed it, gave it to me, gave it to me again because I was border line and it is "trust policy" and then told me to carry on with the "low sugar" diet which they had suggested I follow after the first test. (And totally ignored the fact that for me to follow the "low sugar" diet would have meant increasing my sugar intake.) At no time did they discuss the reasons for the test, the possible outcomes of the test, the possible action depending on the results or the reasons why different action might be appropriate. In contrast when I had a fibroadenoma, they did a scan and a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, told me that I could have it removed if I wanted, gave me an additional appointment to get the results of the biopsy and then a further follow up appointment after that in case I changed my mind and decided I wanted it removed or wanted to discuss it further.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
