I am in a stinking mood with OH. I finished work an hour early yesterday and power walked home to surprise him thinking we could get a hour of S free time ;) and found him looking very guilty and red faced, on his laptop with a box of tissues at the ready... just had a look at the history, apparantly I have no need to worry about him running off with a younger woman

Keely, I swear by ashton and parson powders for tummy upsets due to teething (and also for tummy upsets not due to teething).

Thanks for the suggestion, I remembered that I had some in the cupboard so went and got them out. Only Elliot wouldn't have them, he spat the powders out and is now in tears again :( I tried.

Obviously this requires you to have lolly moulds but I find home-made lollies are very effective at getting Alice to consume stuff when she's ill. I just make a smoothie (yoghurt/buttermilk, banana plus other random fruit) and put it in the moulds to freeze.

Also sponging with a damp cloth is supposed to help with temperatures.

I'll go and make some lollies up once he'll let go of me (or when hubby gets back). Sounds yummy, i've got a sore throat so might be good for me too!

You've got my sympathies, Emlou. I went out about 10 days ago, to see a play with DH's mum and sister. The next morning I went on the computer, and was fairly suspicious as I discovered that DH had wiped the history. I asked him about it and he confessed that he had been watching something he shouldn't!!!!
Grr - men. I know he watches !!!!!!, it's something we've discussed in the past, and to be honest I'm ok with it, but it just makes me suspicious when he wipes the history like he's got something to hide!

I've got a really impatient daughter here - we're making Spotty Trifle (thank-you 'Big Cook, Little Cook'!), and she's literally jumping about, willing the jelly to set....

Glad it went well and you found it useful.

Just want to mention that everyone is always allowed to refuse an induction if they want to. I'm not necessarily advocating that people do but you are always allowed to refuse medical treatment even in pregnancy. (There was a case where a lady had a court ordered caesarian section and when she challenged it afterwards, it was ruled that she had the right to refuse and the court should not have overuled her decision.)

Sorry, I wasn't meaning it to sound like it wasn't the case that anyone can refuse. It was just that the MW felt that as H had been 15 days late with no ill effects it might just be that my gestation (or should that be my babies' gestation) is at the longer end of normal, if that makes any sense!

GISI, personal question, so feel free to ignore. Is your cycle longer? There is a link between cycle length and pregnancy length.
