I haven't really read and only have a second, but Finn was born on Christmas Day (obviously) and I got GREAT care both from the midwife(s) and the hospital. So it's all a bit random, methinks...
But we had a straightforward birth, so that could have made a big difference.DH went down to the postnatal ward on Boxing Day and said it looked like a war zone in a 3rd world country - apparently half the nurses had called in "sick" or something

Evening all... about to go back into CC mode, so doing a big milk feed before the saying night night and brushing teeth part of the routine.
While I think about it, the faries have a load of little tommee tippee food pots if anyone wants them. I'm sure the faries will visit FB later on (probably not right now though) and post something about it. I dont know if that is of any use to those of you thinking about weaning?Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Just got a Verbaudet catalogue through the door, there is a girl on the back with the name L!a(Lea) very similar to dd's name. Incidentally everyone comments on it being unusual and very pretty.
She awakes.....feed time

Controlled crying is much harder now she knows how to ask for a cuddle. And now she asks for Mummy, then for Daddy when Mummy doesn't come

Wonder who's decided that, Beenie - Quidco or Engage? We got our £50 thru TopCashBack fine a few months ago.

Beenie that's rubbish - do they say why? It is probalby worth having a rummage round on the site to see if there is any way of contesting it? I'm still waiting on a payment of £75 for my car insurance. I bot it in January, it said that it would take up to 3 months to show, so I couldn't query why it wasn't showing till then. Now it is showing on my account, but I'm waiting for them to pay quidco so that then they can pay me!

I'm popping in to say hi
I've been lurking occasionally to see what you've all been up to but have been in a bit of a rush to post anything.
I don't think I've posted since C's birthday, so thank you for all the messages on FB and here.

hi Choppy
Don't look now, but I think the monster is asleep. The last few times she has sat straight up when I've put her into bed, and climbed out and followed me to the door as soon as I was out of the room. This time I layed her back down again, held her down while I tucked her in, gave her tootsy doggy, kissed her goodnight etc (all the normal routine things) and she stayed down when I left. Maybe I should have done that to start with! I've had to go back in twice, so heres hoping that tomorrow night will be a bit easier, and by Sunday it will be fine.
Mind you, she is asleep and hour and a half before she went off yesterday, so that is an improvement!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009
