Thanks for the advice all
I cant remember who posted what on the best of days let alone after no sleep.
Health visitor was her usual "grey" self, but his behaviour is apparently likely to be growth spurt.
We moved him onto hungry milk (told it was ok at his age and was suggested by HV) as he was feeding so frequently. She went through all my bits of paper with his feed amounts/times on....
I did ask her if it was possible this had upset him but she just glazed over it with some other conversation....
He now weighs at 4 weeks 10lb 7.... and she seemed quite happy with him....
He's had a sleep now though, and two further good feeds so we shall see.....
We're going away tomorrow for 6 days so Im hoping it doesnt continue the whole time we're away....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Maz I've heard / read that before, I rarely throw things out though. I'm more likely to throw it out becasue I've not used it in a very long time and decide I probably won't use it again than because it may be past its best / riddled with bacteria
And out of interest I use Mac powder foundation. I need something with heavy coverage that will last as I have really red, blotchy skin that is also very oily. All my mum's fault; she is exactly the same.0 -
I mix foundation with moisturiser to get the colour I want, but rarely use makeup.
OMG  Husband has effed off to do something he could easily have done earlier today or asked me to do, meaning that I can't shower because I can't let Molly wander off. His packing still isn't finished, I am sweaty and dirty (and all packed), and I am raging. This happened EVERY TIME. He thinks that he has two hours till we need to leave and plans two hours' worth of stuff just for him, never taking into account the fact that there are three of us and the little one needs constant supervision.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Can you not pop her in her cot whilst you shower SS?
I stick Benjamin in his and leave the bathroom door open and he watches me and mimics me washing my hairplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
She's taken against the cot. I might try her in the playpen in the kitchen ... I wonder if the novelty of changing the toys in there will keep her occupied for long enough for me to be able to shower in peace.
I was looking forward to him coming home, getting stuff done and it being a relaxing sort of getting ready, but he seems incapable of doing stuff in a timely manner because we'll still get on the plane whether we arrive in a relaxed sort of state with time to spare for the inevitable lines at security or with me getting my butt nipped as they slam the plane doors behind us.
I shouldn't whinge. Sorry.
ETA: I don't know why I didn't think of sharing a bath with her!!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I must admit i can sometime make a bottle of foundation last for near on 2 years LOL. I get another 3 weeks or so out of it just by cutting it open and getting the dregs out :rotfl: I am such a tight wad
Think my current bottle is a year old and i'm almost at the cutting it open stage
I used to have a mascara that was in a pink bottle with lime green lid and loved it but haven't seen it since - does anyone know what it is?
Maybelline, but everyone beat me to it! I love that mascara, and their new one in a purple bottle is really good too (and also in the Boots 3 for 2).No problems with my nighttime birth but my sister always says don't have an emergency in august as that is when rotations start so all the doctors are new. (also if you say chest pain you get seen straight away!)
Snotty nosed baby here, she had me up all night wanting to feedhope she is better by Monday because we are going to visit my sister.
Redstararnie, have you thought about taking your LO swimming yourself and seeing how she is? My dad taught me to swim
Could the snotty nose be down to teething? Henry's was really snotty for a week or so either side of his teeth coming through. My theory is that it's because people judge behaviour of people with mental health problems on the basis of rational thinking. This means that they ascribe different motivations/reasoning to their behaviour to the true ones because the behaviour is not based on rational thinking but on irrational thinking (or on rational thinking based on an irrational premise). Also lots people still don't believe that chemical/hormone imbalances can be the cause so while it's acceptable for a diabetic to be diabetic and even to have a hypo, bipolar disorder often seems to be considered and "excuse".
ETA: When I say "judge" I don't mean being judgemental, I just mean judging in the sense that way we respond to and feel about other's behaviour is based on our judgement of their intentions/motives/reasoning.
I totally agree with you theory, Susan. I find it very frustrating sometimes.
BM- fab news on the job. I used to love doing bar work- it can be so much fun.
Bargain of the week- we got two 6 packs of pampers sensitive wipes for £1.83 a pack in Boots :money:. That was all they had in the store, and checked the other two local stores but they were full price in both of those.
John Lewis have some really lovely baby bits reduced- we got two little coats for this winter for Henry. Not exactly cheap, but good value for the quality.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hi all, i'm back and have dried out!
The weather was dreadful last night, I thought the caravan was going to blow away - but it seems it was countrywide and not just where we were.
I have no hope of catching up on 10+ pages. Can anyone update me with the highlights of the week?:beer:0 -

That'll explain why it is so quiet then...I don't think I have ever made the top 10 before.
