Ooh, is it BIL's wedding, SS? How exciting! Did you find a dress to wear in the end? I remember you were looking for one a while ago.

SJ- they were chicken stock cubes and I don't eat meat. I'm not overly precious about H being veggie, but I'd rather be able to taste the food I make for him at the moment so make it with low salt veggie bouillion.

Ah I see! I'd bought some as i noticed them in tesco when i was last in and then worried that they tasted gross or something when you were offering them. Didn't make the link with you being veggie :)

    just popping in :)
Both my boys were born on a saturday, Chris in hospital 3mins before the 1pm shift change so we had 3 or 4 MWs present and Ed was born just after 6am at home with our 2 MWs one of which popped back in the afternoon to check on us:T no shoddy care received here :D

I've been to see 2 pre-schools today and I'm all of a dither.
The first is walking distance and has a few Children we know from groups and a friend's LO, loved the girl that showed us round but wasn't that impressed with the other staff and the state of the place (was tidy up time just as we left) plus the fact they have up to 56 kids at one time! the session times are much better and more flexible than other places - can start at either 8am, 8:30, 9am or 12:30,1pm and I like the idea of him going 9am-3:30 because its like school hours
2nd place has a much smaller 'classroom', has space for 24 but likes to keep it down to 21 most of the time, is around 15mins drive away, has bigger outdoor area but the session times are 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm or a full 8am - 6pm :s I think 8am is a too early start and 6pm too late a finish for my lil boy:s I asked about session times and they are pretty much set in stone although I guess I could pick him up early/drop him off late but it would mean him missing out on time or me paying for time he isn't really using.

Think I'm gonna call bolton CIS to see what is available just over the borderline *sings a bit of Madonna* :p
JakesMummy - is where Jake goes towards me from yours? or do you know anywhere horwich way thats good?

I picked up some stuff in boots today, no reduced nappies left in sizes we can use but I got some snacky bits. They have a medela and avent hand pump reduced, the philips flower digital bath thermometer is £7.50 (I paid £12.99 for that 3yrs ago :p) also brother max 3 in 1 thermometer was reduced, some boots expert baby bath bits, some bottles and suncream reduced too HTH someone

I prefer nectarines to peaches... The fuzzy skin puts my teeth on edge... And sharon fruit gave me ever such a tummy ache the one time I had it...

Have you tried mango? I love fresh mango :) Not so keen on papaya though...

Ooh yes I did do mango for t when it was on offer in lidl, they were only summit like 39p each!! I only tried it once it was purreed though, did taste nice though. Not done papaya yet, thats another to add to the list...

I'm just doing an apple and pear pur!e for t, can I mix in some mashed banana and freeze it? Just that a.karmels book says no to freezing banana but I don't know if she meant on it's own. Confused.com!!
