My OH works in the cardio ward of the local hospital, he said weekends there are hardly any doctors around, and its the same at nights as well, so there may be some truth in it...

I am unbelievably f*****d off about this - I had nearly £300 in there waiting to be paid out at the end of this month, money to go towards my deposit for a house. I now have just over £200. It was all marked as received, I dont see how they can mark it as received and then say it isnt there? The company had clearly paid them my money to pass on to me, so they are clearly taking it and doing a runner!

Especially annoying as I missed the date to request the payment of it last month. If I'd got it last month I'd be £80 better off! :mad::mad:

Thanks Choppy It does help that DH is at home during the day though, so if I am busy baking he takes charge of Alfie and I just step in at feeding time!

I am worried about a cake I'm doing for Tuesday though, it needs a little figure made from fondant of a geography teacher on it, and it also needs a little fondant globe! Yikes! It's ages since I made a person. What does a geography teacher even look like?! lol. Oh and i have to remember he's Asian too and not make him too pale!

SJ that cake is great. I made Rose a Hungry Caterpliiar cake for her first birthday. Here is my effort. It took ages but i was pleased with it....not the best pic as it was huge x

I am toying with going early to the Next sale in the morning, but I just checked Henry's clothes in the next couple of sizes and we have tons so I don't think I'll bother!

That's really good! Good effort getting the fondant cut straight at the bottom of the cake, I always mess that up and have to put something round the bottom to disguise it lol!

Right I'm off to bed now. Got the birthday party at 11am so need to be on the ball in the morning! Night x

I'm so jealous of the wonderful cake making Mummys tonight! I'm rubbish at such things - I have ideas in my head but they just don't work. I'm good a pastry though, I have good cold hands, so my Nana tells me.

Ladybird We've done a sort of CC tonight and I feel rubbish! While we were away we've really messed up bedtime. There was nowhere to put the travel cot apart from the kitchen, so we tried her in a bed the first night, she fell out and cried until OH took her out for a walk in the pram at 11pm. The second night he took her out again, then came back and we transferred her to the cot and we slept on the pull out bed in the living area.
The third and fourth night, we just waited til she fell asleep , somewhere between 10 and 11, then put her in the travel cot in the kitchen.
Tonight, she was shattered, rubbing eyes and yawning at 7.30, so we took her up and as soon as she was in the cot she screamed. We kept popping up and giving her her dummy, but it took a good 1 1/2 hours til she settled.
And, i'm thinking we'll get the sleep routine back this week, and we go away again on Saturday to mess it up again.

It was a much better class of park than Presthaven, but I still don't think i'd like it during the summer holidays. It was just nice, with the right amount of other people there.

MFD & SS We got to use the Stokke in 2 wheel mode on the sand, it was much easier, and we got lots of 'ooooh, look at that pram, what a good idea' comments.
