Becles - Has your dad rescheduled his flight yet? I keep meaning to say that I bought DH a flight for his birthday. And to go one better (or worse) than your dad not being able to fly due to the weather, when DH phoned to book his flight, there had been a fire in the hanger and the aircraft had been destroyed!!! :rotfl:How is that for bad luck?! We also booked my dad a helicopter trip a few years ago and the company went out of business before he got to do it!

Oh no! That sounds like a nightmare with it burning down!

This weekend was fully booked, so he's doing it the weekend after - weather permitting. Spent plenty of time at the parachute centre waiting for weather to change so we could jump. The worst one was we were all loaded in the plane and on our way down the runway, when they called the pilot and said the wind had started gusting and it wasn't safe to jump, so we had to come back.

Boo - that dress is beautiful. It's very similar to one a Turkish friend got married in and she looked stunning on the photographs.

Hope you have a safe journey Sugar and enjoy your trip.

I took Charlotte to the dentist when she was 2, and she was good as gold. She sat in the big chair and let him look in her mouth. The boys were upset because she got some Disney Princess stickers for being good, and they didn't! Goodness only knows why they wanted Princess stickers!

Craig was telling the boys off for fighting before, and Charlotte was there saying "yeah, you tell them Dad" :rotfl:

Boo - forgot to say gorgeous dress, you'll look amazing.

Dentist - our dentist didn't want to see Katie until she was 2, but she came along to appointments anyway so that she knew it was ok when it was her turn.

When it was her turn, we all went in together, DH, Katie and me, DH and I where examined first then Katie, she was find, he didn't lie her back, she opened her mouth and he just had a quick peek and a count, she was most impressed by the sticker. Reminds me I think we're due a check up, will have to make an appointment.

Sami i posted your thingy at 5:32pm and have no idea if the postman had already picked up yet so it might not be there tomorrow!!

I should be reading the technobabble book because IT bloke will be on the phone anyday now to question me on it and i haven't even opened it yet... oops.
ta chuck :D have you started the book yet?

Ed had his first dentist appointment at 11mths, I signed him up at 6mths while I was there with Chris, they just mark down which teeth they have until recently when Chris had his looked at with the mirror but he has good tootys so nothing needs doing (unlike my crapola gnashers :()

Gill can you PM me your address (so i can send you poo parcels mwahaha)

I started the book tonight, and thought i'd take some notes, but ended up probably typing out half the book anyway LOL. Ah well it helps it sink in, if i just read i end up daydreaming and have to read the same page 5 times before i absorb any so this way works at the min.
I'm only on the first few pages so it's easy but i'm sure over the next million pages i might learn something :rotfl:. Am currently learning about network topologies- star, bus, mesh... and err another one. See? Totally absorbing it

    sounds positively riveting :p

Gill you mentioned the baby rice, I think I only used 2 sample packs for Chris, that stuff is vile! As soon as he'd tasted fruit, veg etc he refused it point blank so glad I didn't buy a box of it. He loved the cow & gate fruity bfast stuff though, we used lots of the c&g breakfast stuff for him :)

 Hello Amber, well done you learning how to do that!

Molly was up again at 3am and insistent on playing. I left Husband to it, I just couldn't take any more of the screeching and kicking :(

Sami, we used baby rice and plain cereal as a means to give her messy fruit and purees so it was a bit bulkier. We still use the cereal now.

Busy day today with loads of work to do. Also going to the leavers assembly this afternoon. More tissues required!

Year 6 are going on a treat after school that they don't know about. Stretch hummers are picking them up from school and they're driving around a bit, then going for a game of bowling and a meal.

Have a good day all xx

I got some of these too :rotfl:

You should have seen DH's face when he saw all the bags I was pulling out from under the pram! He said that I never do things by halves.

Oh goodness Gill, I managed to completely forget that I'll need to start thinking about the baby rice again soon - how is it that it seemed to take ages until Amelie was at that stage but somehow it's crept up on me when I wasn't looking this time?

    I NEED HELP!!!!!
Apologies for the drama, I just feel like a woman on the edge....

Landen will not sleep! Yesterday he fed well during the day and then at about 5pm it all started going downhill. He's wanted constant feeding, and wont be put down. Last night was awful, I've had no sleep at all. He's taken 220ml in the space of 45 minutes, at 4 weeks old! but he half dozes and then immediately wakes up and starts screaming the place down.....he's only quiet(er) when he's up in my arms over my shoulder...
Winding him seems to be taking for ever as well.... is it possible he's crying in pain from trapped wind? Would he demand food to ease it? Any suggestions? I'm worried that he's now over tired, and it's going to be even harder to get him to sleep....
I've tried some baby massage, and it did quiet him down but I cant sit there and massage him all day surely?!

ARGH! This is not covered by my baby books LOL
