No, I think it 2 weeks by law. It may be four if you work in a factory, but I'm pretty sure Denise doesn't ;).

My newly pregnant friend is gutted as Betsy was her baby name!

Tia- I agree it's a shame that she has to justify her decision but also a shame that she doesn't feel comfortable feeding in public, IMO. I think a 'glamourous' BFing celeb would be great :D.

Urrgh I feel ill! God, I think I may fall into a chocolate coma - I'm such a pig!
Discovered little shop selling gorgeous hand-made chocolates, seduced into buying a bag at much too much money, and have now scoffed them all! Never again.....

Hammy- I meant to say that I was talking to my friend last night who's LO has a milk allergy and she was saying that the best formula she has ever used for him is a goat's milk based one. Not sure on name, but she said you can buy it over the counter.

A MW is coming over on Tuesday to talk through my birth notes

Thanks for that GISI, after just a quick read, goat milk formula seems quite contraversial and not recommended anyway for babies under 1. I will ask the consultant about it though.

I hope you get closure after reading your notes.

MFD I was looking at Hatley raincoats the other day and thought of Benjamin.... they are soooooo cute

My little boy is so incredibly grumpy - I know it shouldn't be a surprise considering the C/Pox but still - he hasn't stopped whingeing for days :rotfl:

Hammy - bless him, he probably wonders what on earth has happened to him

  • Oh bless him Hammy - he looks a whole load happier than I would be in his position.

When all our babies get CP when they are old enough to moan about it (verbally) you may be glad of him being so little for it. xx

Just saw this on Lactivist and thought folks might be interested. Seems a shame, but of course there might be more to it than is reported- http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1294493/Why-Ive-breast-feeding-Denise-Van-Outen.html
There are two things I find sad about this:
    1) That she felt she was being watched so closely that she felt so self conscious she was unable to continue.
    2) That the press think how she feeds her baby is newsworthy. (Which probably illustrates why she felt watched in the first place.)
Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.
