I think they all have a roll off something at some point, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Still writing the essay here and I'm bored :o
Here I go again on my own....

You get used to them falling off things honest  Benjamin fell off the bed at least 3 times...that is how they learn about edges ;)

Jenny - do you know how good the delivery is on that site? I need it for Saturday...

Any ideas for fabby first birthday gifts for my Great-Neice?

More books!! I think it's so sad when children don't have books :(

Miserable, Tara, especially before a big day. I hope you're feeling better?

Fitz, my mother is much the same way. I just don't let her babysit. It really isn't worth the effort of arguing, and it only makes us feel bad.

Somnium, Molly's doctor claims that so long as they don't fall further than they are tall it's unlikely they'll do themselves any damage. It's horribly scary though, isn't it? Molly's pushchair got stuck at the top of an escalator a couple of days ago, it's taken me this long to stop wanting to throw up :(

Thanks Jenny - a jigsaw would be a good idea, or maybe some bricks...I just want to buy her something that isn't pink and plastic :o

SJ - if you are anything like me you will probably spend it doing housework or similar. Is there anything that you are pining to see at the cinema?

I hate housework but I was thinking of at least hoovering and putting away Alfie's washing and the new stuff he's been given that's been sat there a week :o I have sorted it into the different sizes though.

On the babycentre website it says about making up a little photo album for baby, I like that idea so I'm going to go down to asda and get lots of photos printed (as we need to do that anyway as have sooooo many pics of Alfies but hardly any printed) and a little plastic album :)

Would love to go to cinema but DH has taken the car

(((Hugs))) Som. You are doing a great job, T wouldn't be the happy little thing she is if you weren't :) If it makes you feel any better I almost drowned Alfie in the bath (2 nights running :o ) I banged his head getting him into the car, I got his finger when I was cutting his nails and DH banged his head in the bath too. Accidents happen!!

Any ideas for fabby first birthday gifts for my Great-Neice?

I am going to give her some books (because apparently she hasn't got any ) but wanted something cool to go with it...

Looking for something for less than £20.

How about something that connects with the story in one of the book?
e.g. if one of the stories is Goldilocks and the three bears then find three little teddybears and/or a little doll with blonde hair.

Aww hugs Som. Holly takes a battering from us most weeks. She currently has a tooth mark on her forehead where she nutted OH's mouth whilst playing. It was the first time she properly full on cried when hurting herself though. She usually just whimpers for a second when she whacks her head, so it must have been sore!

Tara - hope you are feeling better. Are you having a family tea for Maddy's birthday? Everyone on here puts me to shame. I have never attempted much in the way of baking and will probably just buy a cake for Holly when it's her birthday.

I feel sorry for my mum. She is depressed or something, but doesn't see it. It's been going on for years, and she has forgotten how to be happy/have fun/get any joy out of life. And I feel even more sorry for my dad - he loves spending time with Holly and would be devastated if he didn't see her as much.
I won't be asking them to babysit for a full night for a while. And I will also stop popping round quite as much - I have been round to theirs a lot recently, and for a few weeks after we last fell out, she did make an effort to keep her mouth shut if she disagreed, rather than mocking me as she does. This effort has clearly stopped now.

I don't mind a difference of opinion, it's just the constant mocking, ridiculing to make her feel superior. Everyone does things differently, it doesn't mean that either of us would be wrong, but she feels the need to try and make me feel stupid. Sorry, off on one again - it's an emotive subject!

Was weird as I only bought up the apple I had just before bed, and it had a nasty awful burn to it, I'm sure there was something wrong with it as normally a bug starts with the kids. And I wasn't sick again but laid awake worrying in case I was! :o
Apple is the most disgusting thing to throw up even if you don't have a bug.
