I saw a TV ad for Sudocrem this morning and thought of Susan's advice too.

I have been brave this morning and phoned round lots and lots of childminders, but nearly all of them are either full, and the 2 I had high hopes for and recommendations for, have given it up!!!
I now have 2 appointments to see people this week. Fingers crossed for me please.

Although now I have been productive, Holly has awoken from her nap and I haven't actually showered yet....hmmmm......

Oh and anyone that has the lindham extendable gate... I have some extra fizings here if anybody wants them? I used to keep 1 gate and had the fixings at the kitchen and bottom of the stairs, it was easy enough to pop the gate off one place and put it in the other... Sadly my gate went in the great bin cupboard fire, but I only removed the kitchen fixings when I put a pressure fit gate up there...

Ooh thats a good idea, i have one of these gates on jasmines bedroom door but was thinking of getting one for the kitchen too but if you didnt mind passing on those fittings i could just move the gate about, thank u!

was just thinking about chicken pox if baby is just in the buggy with raincover over then surely it is v unlikely to be passed on? when i was 2 weeks away from my planned section with jasmine i took jake to a soft play and there was a kid running about with full on chicken pox some hadnt even scabbed:mad: i was soo angry, i was more bothered about jake catching them and passing them on to my newborn, i complained to the manager cos think the person that let them in surely would have noticed!! luckily he didnt catch them though,

Fitz hope you manage to find someone, i dont envy you at all, must be quite stressful!

Hope everyones ok? Happy birthday Maddy! x

SJ - isn't it about 5 or 6 months that they start to realise that they are 'separate' from you IYSWIM? Do you get the babycentre emails? I always found those a useful resource and you can read forward a month to see if your baby is doing something that they talk about next month...

Thanks, I've had a look on babycentre and it does say about this age they get something like separation anxiety.

    Happy birthday JAM!

I got my nephew a jigsaw that makes animal noises when you pick the pieces up and he loved it :) I think the make was John crane.

Well I just tried to book my induction for the gym for this afternoon as DH is off to football and Mum wants to have Alfie but ca't fit me in. Have booked it for 5.30pm tomorrow  I really want to get into it again but not looking forward to it as I am so out of shape I know it's going to be very hard.

So now, what do I do this afternoon with no hubby or baby?
  • Thanks Jenny - a jigsaw would be a good idea, or maybe some bricks...I just want to buy her something that isn't pink and plastic :o

SJ - if you are anything like me you will probably spend it doing housework or similar. Is there anything that you are pining to see at the cinema?
