Oh my it is a day for Birthdays!
Happy 1st Birthday to Maddy.
Happy Birthday to everyone else - including my friend little girl who is 2 and my CM's youngest who is 3
Hammy - I missed the chicken pox chat yesterday but I hope David is doing okay. It did cross my mind that it is a relief that it it CP and not such a horrific reaction to the formula. CP will go but a blister reaction to milk had me really worried.
(hope that makes some sense) x
SJ - isn't it about 5 or 6 months that they start to realise that they are 'separate' from you IYSWIM? Do you get the babycentre emails? I always found those a useful resource and you can read forward a month to see if your baby is doing something that they talk about next month...please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Csh - there is a Comet Clearance website where you can bid on items:
http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/
There is also a Comet Clearance shop in North Glasgow. It sells ex display models and things like that. Not sure where else they are.0 -
Krystal just while your still here! Was it you that had bought cheap appliances from comet/currys clearance or something like that or am I confused?
My built in oven electrocuted me on Sunday night and now lies dead, so can't afford a new one but running out of cook on the hob ideas already
We bought our fridge from comet clearance. Very happy with the service and price.
Happy Birthday Maddy and JAM!
Hugs for poorly David.
Rain, rain, rain here. Supposed to be picnicking but we've moved to the Ikea cafe. Still be nice to see mummies and babies as we've been a bit anti-social of late!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I've not bought from Comet clearance no... But I do live close to one of their shops... We looked in when we were after a new tumble drier but weren't too impressed with the prices considering they were seconds...
We ended up buying from electrical123 in the end... It's something to do with the co-op I think... Service was good anyway, had the washer and dryer from them...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi guys,
I'm a newbie to this forum and was hoping to get some advice around the subject of giving secondary school children careers advice. I am a recently qualified teach and have noticed we have a few resources at our school although many seem to be dated, what's everyones thoughts on current careers provision within our secondary schools? Some of my students and friends who are parents have asked me recently about the best way to help them or their children decide on a future possible career in preparation of choosing GCSE's, Diplomas/A Levels. I've looked online and found some resources but was hoping the members of this forum could possibly share any resources or just their general view around the subject?

Hi, thanks for the response, I will create a new post for this, I'm just looking for other parents thoughts on the subject and hope some of you can contribute on the new post.
Thanks,

Sunburn has gone down and started peeling, except for a bit on my left boob. It looks like a proper burn, the skin is all hard and cracked.
I tried picking it and it bled a bit
So im just rubbing moisteriser in when i remember to keep it soft.
Thanks for asking
Im seeing my sister today for the last time in a while. She's leaving for Pontins on Thursday
But i have looked up some chea holidays so we can go and visit her
We going for Frankie & Bennys and then to see Twilight :j
And im paying for the lot!
She has a friend that owes her £40, and is now ignoring all her phone calls and avoiding her
Lily was being so lovely this morning, she was rolling around on the floor talking to herself and grabbing toys. Then she fell asleep holding my finger :happyhear0 -

Hugs Hammy - if it helps, Freddie woke up at 4am and refused to settle, so I've been up since then. He wouldn't even let me sit down, so I had to settle for pacing around the living room to keep him quiet. I feel like we're going backwards at the momentWorking hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Happy Birthday Maddy
Hope Jayden's injections go well.
We had another 5am start today...don't know what is going on with him! Hope this isn't going to be the norm. Hoping to crack on and get some jobs done this morning then going for a coffee with my new RL mummy friend.
Hugs Gill! It's really not easy, is it? I think our babies may be conspiring against us.Enjoy your coffee.
