Red, my friend has been to that holiday place in Cornwall you posted last night, she booked through Hoseasons.

Hi Tara, Do you know if she enjoyed it? I'm just waiting for Dan to email me to confirm that he can have the time off and I'm intending to ring and pay  (I hate parting with money - it's the worst part of holidays!)

Bruno- i was under consultant care and meant that i had weekly midwife checks and all the 'milestone' checks were done at the hospital. my hands swelled from about 25 weeks and feet/ankles later. i was under the consultant as my existing high BP (on perm meds) meant i was high risk from pre-eclampsia. i had 6 scans in total to make sure Kian was growing correctly and at the right timescale. i used to moan a bit bout the constant appointments but it did mean i was getting the best care. towards the last few weeks i was seeing midwives every 3 days. and had been in/out hospital like a yo-yo!

i know i will have the same the next time and i must admit to being a little cautious about getting pg. although my main concern is now we have Kian there is a lot more work to do at home so more opportunities for me to be tired. i would keep hm at nursery though as those 2 days away from home would greatly benefit us both.

we are fortunate as well that ~PIL are a 2 min drive from us if there is an emergency etc and if need be my mum would come over from ireland to help me out.

would you consider putting E in a nursery ---even 1 day so your OH could get some rest?

She said it was lovely, check the prices though as she didn't pay much. Quiet (which I love) and pool was spotless! :D

Huge hugs lady and love to all your family :(

Hammy in a way i am glad it is chicken pox as it will pass in a few weeks whereas the milk allergy could have been 100 times more stressful! i heard something about a sock of oats under the runnign water for a bath? it is to help the itching, not really sure as my 3 LO havent had chicken pox 'yet'

Bruno lots of sleeping and eating and everything else the other ladies have said, she must be a very happy woman to have such a supportive husband :D

not sure what my plans are today? i really need to get the house in some sort of order and all the washing is just about up to date! kids rooms look like a bomb has went off though? at least the sun is out though and im soooo jealous of you lot having heat waves when its just warm here!

Hope you get on okay at the hospital, SJ.

Yes was ok thanks for asking, and Fitz too, I quoted but it lost you!

My grandad is still suffering from the shingles but it's been 7 or 8 weeks now so really hopeful it will ease off soon.

Grandma is on her 9th radiotherapy tomorrow so over half way through and it's not too sore yet. The possible carcenoma on her neck is only pre-cancerous so not as bad as we thought and they will treat that (remove it?) after the lymphoma is treated. The hospital now is a quickish in and out job. They're pretty good in there and it's quite quick and easy.

Mum is still with my dad and he has actually admitted he has a problem with the work stuff (panic attacks when he tries to go in etc. I think previously it would have been labelled a a nervous breakdown) She is laying the smackdown at home! Saying (and rightly so in my opinion) that if he can't go into work then he has to do (a lot) more at home. Going ok so far-ish but is a very steep learning curve for him (and for her to saying no to his silly requests like sending an email for him when he's perfectly capable of doing it himself etc)

Sister and her DH I'm not so sure. All relationships need work but I don't think it should be this difficuly after only 1 year's marriage.

Alfie is great though and so is my DH - I am very lucky to have them both :D
    Me too, me too!

Is Bristol at all easy for people to get to? Or somewhere in the midlands?

I'll go anywhere lol! Would be great to meet more of you lovely ladies :)

I've just been signed off for another fortnight with this stupid gammy shoulder. Its really starting to hack me off now :(
When I phoned my manager she still hasn't let on that a new Asst Manager has started and said when I'm due to come back from sick I've to take 3 weeks holiday. Feel a bit unwanted *sob*

Can they do that? Or are you at the end of your holiday year with holiday to take or something?

Raining and much, much cooler here today. I want the sunshine back!

Hammy hope D's chicken pox isn't too bad but agree maybe long term it's better than another allergy :)

Ladybird so sorry about your Grandad :(

Aww poor Amber. Hope her finger is better today.

Petite Star Zia peoples...does anyone have/use the transit bag?? I've just tried mine out for the first time and it's really difficult to get the bag zipped. Is there some sort of trick? What on earth am I suppose to do with the wheels since I have to take them off to get it inside? Seems far too much effort.

Thanks for that, Tara, it's really reassuring to hear - those are exactly the things that appeal to us!
I did look at Hoseasons, but for the week in which we are going and the accommodation we want, I found it cheaper here - I just hope they've got availabilty for us! (I'm just waiting for the lady to call me back to confirm).

ETA: All booked, I'm really excited now!

Sorry to hear about your Grandad Ladybird... Mine died 4 years ago September and I still miss him heaps :(
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

i had homestart out this morning and they were very nice however they said it could take up to 6 months to be given support as they cannot get the volunteers trained quick enough.
