I ended up being offered my old job back on the hours I requested (26 per week) but was also offered an assistant manger's role in a much bigger store, walking distance from home (old job was 30 minute drive each way up motorway) for not much less money with the option of going back to my old job after 6 or 9 months if I want to. Can you guess which I went for :rotfl:?
Thats great newsIts a relief when things are sorted eh? When do you start back?
I've just been signed off for another fortnight with this stupid gammy shoulder. Its really starting to hack me off now
When I phoned my manager she still hasn't let on that a new Asst Manager has started and said when I'm due to come back from sick I've to take 3 weeks holiday. Feel a bit unwanted *sob*

Bruno, don't underestimate how hard a pregnancy can be when you have another child. The sleeping is normal, especially if her sleep is broken by E. Not much you can do except let her sleep when she does, she will feel worse if she tries to fight sleep. Everyone sleeps a lot in second trimester, you may not feel as sick (if your one of the lucky ones ha) but the baby is growing at an amazing rate and it does take it out of you. With Chris I was ill with hyper emesis and I slept all the time. With Amber I had a nap every day, I even came home from college at lunch time to get a nap and then would have a nap after dinner.
Don't listen to these stupid books that say she should be glowing by now, they talk a load of crap.0 -

CSH - Sending you a hug!
Bruno - what Tia said!!
Tia - hope Amber's ok
Well, think the last few nights had lulled me into a false sense of security! Last night Freddie woke up at 2.30am and wouldn't settle until a quarter to six this morning, at which point Amelie wanted to get up! Urggh, I feel dreadful...Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Argh it is flat out roasting here
I am MELTING I tell you!
Tia, how scary!
Mel, how was the doctor visit?
Angela, that sounds lovely. My parents went to see Chris de Burgh at one of those open air bring a picnic shows but they got thrown out because a couple nearby complained that they were dancing and obscuring their view. My mother blames Chris de Burgh himself :rotfl:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

If you cant get up and dance, whats the point. Can you imagine someone complaining?? It was the most relaxing venue ive ever been to and he was fantastic. Right by the sea too. We were really near the front and i got some fantastic photos ( on FB for anyone who can see ) Had a really lovely night .DS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -

Hammy - I dont know whether it has been sugggested but have you tried goats milk or sheeps milk. My Brother was horrendously allergic to Lactose but could manage them fine, so ate loads of goats cheese and sheeps milk icecream.

OH is increasingly fragile mid-pregnancy
she went to a toddler group the other day and got so faint as she went to leave that the other attendees wouldn't let her go and made her sit down, then helped her up part of the hill... yesterday she fell asleep by surprise for a 3 hour nap at 1.30 (then of course didn't go to bed til 1am).
They're classifying her pregnancy as 'high risk' at this point as although she seemed fine at her check-up, she was on watch for pre-eclampsia last time based on bp and swollen extremities, has a family history of diabetes, and etc.
Consultant appointment in ten days but I am a bit anxious about her 'weakness' at this point and what we can do to make things easier given she's still got nearly 5 months to go
Things I would suggets which might help if she is finding hard to do things are:
- get a cleaner
- order your shopping online
- use the slowcooker for meals
- use a laundrette
When I was pregnant OH was doing all the cooking/cleaning/shopping/washing for me including hanging the washing out on the line every morning before going to work and it was just silly as he ended up really worn out too as he was doing his job and my job and lots of extra things to look after me (like coming home at lunch time to give me lunch, helping me get dressed and washing my hair for me). If she's really tired it's definitely worth trying to lighten the load so that you don't both end up exhausted.
I hope some of that is helpful and that it doesn't sound too doom and gloom.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
