Ta all
csh I love the picciesI'm determined to take Izzy on a going abroad holiday at some point in the next few years. We always go away in the UK, and I have it in my head that it is cheaper to do that, but I'm sure logically it doesn't always work out that way (but maybe at the moment because of the exchange rate it does!). Mind you, we spent £400 on accomodation this year, plus probably an extra £400 all in, to cover food, petrol, spending money etc. £800 for a holiday for 4 of us (plus we paid for someone else to come with us too) isn't too bad really. And that is including the things that we would have spent money on if we were at home in a normal week anyway (would have spent some money on petrol and food normally anyway iyswim.)

Ooh, csh, I'll give you my work update as I know our situations have been quite similar.
I ended up being offered my old job back on the hours I requested (26 per week) but was also offered an assistant manger's role in a much bigger store, walking distance from home (old job was 30 minute drive each way up motorway) for not much less money with the option of going back to my old job after 6 or 9 months if I want to. Can you guess which I went for :rotfl:?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Oh, I'd missed that gisi - that means I can't come in an pester you when I'm at sainsburies now
.
Oh, and turns out that I didn't need a nap, just sugar. Now I've actually eaten my breakfast I feel a lot better! Now to find some unsuitable music with a parental advisory sticker on the front that I don't normally get to listen to. Need to find something suitably motivational. I can still leave Holly on the changing station or the bed! Although she is crawling and can go from sitting to crawling and back again and gets around fine, if she rolls on to her back, she screams for me. It took her ages to roll, and she has done it a few times, but never quite mastered it! It does mean that I can leave her on her back and she won’t go anywhere though! Strange, but kind of useful.
Csh – Glad you had a great holiday. Can’t believe how much you spent! Don’t tell my OH. I am trying to convince him we won’t spend much on top of the cost of holiday for a HB deal!
Can’t think what you have missed. Maybe everyone can give their own updates! I still don’t have a childminder and went to see a horrendous one last week. Holly has the cold and has now passed it to me. And I can’t blow my nose in peace as her favourite thing is to rip up tissues!
Lady - Very sorry to hear about your grandad. x
Wish I could leave K anywhere! Hes a human dynamo and I can't take my eyes off him for a second! He was on the third step yesterday in the time it took me to blink!!
Everything was eyewateringly expensive! I wasn't even in a tourist trap area as such and was buying the same nappies etc as the locals from the supermarket. 18euros for a economy packet of Pampers under their Spanish name to give an idea of costs. We were AI but if having a light snack lunch outside it was about 40ish euro on average with no alcohol. (obviously not in the type of place that does English breakfast all day for 4euros, cheap stuff can be found if thats what you like).0 -

I had the tv on for Lily (she was crying and i wasn't good enough to soothe her) , but i literally only just put it on before she arrived.
Im in my PJs still and the house isn't tidy.
