I have to confess that I do sometimes think that kind of thing IRL but I wouldn't actually say it because I realise I don't know all the information about why a child is apparently tired/grumpy/misbehaving and therefore shouldn't be judging.

Chutney keeps longer than jam, I think, and so long as your jars are properly sealed with the discs in the middle stuck downwards they'll keep for a year. If they don't seal you need to nomnomnom them inside a month

Our house smelled of cooking jam and now smells violently of garlic. No vampires Chez Sugar tonight........ we had glass noodle salad and aubergines in garlic sauce and we stink. Totally worth it though.

Susan, I sometimes think things like that too, but not because I'm judging the parent for having the child up. I normally just feel sorry for both of them cause it's rotten for everyone when you have an overtired child but sometimes there's nothing you can do about it.

I will need to set a reminder on my TV for Tigs big moment! Andrew is super cute in person, though I was quite gone with the wind by that point so I only recall vague snippets (and I managed to trash a toilet )

Keira was telling me about some kid at nursery who farted on the climbing frame today, top of her voice on the bus no less (this was on the way to my mums before she became devil incarnate) anyhoo she was like:

K - I told Demi and Lucy that someone farted.
Me - Why did you tell them? You are such a clipe!
K - Cause it was gross and stink!
Me - Bet your farts stink worse
K - Yeah but you do big giant giant (opens her arms to elaborate) big farts mum and they are minging!

*cue hidden sniggers on bus* and me black affronted. I have been eating a lot of greens, I cannot help my trumpy bottom!

Interfering old bat! She knows nothing of your circumstances! yes ideally you may want a little girl in bed for that time but there are countless reasons why she might not be!

Yeah of course, we are all guilty of doing that. She did look tired and was behaving in a grumpy manner, so obviously she DID need her bed, but I don't need some woman behind the till pointing it out. We had been to visit my mum and we didn't get there until after 4 and it was the 5:15 bus home or the 7:47, not going to waste £5 on the bus for less than an hour. She normally doesn't go to bed until nearer 9 anyways but I wouldn't of taken her by the garage unless I actually had to get something and TMI (I REALLY needed tampons)

That woman has been working in that shop since I was a kid, so weather or not she felt like she was able to remark on such things because she "knows" of me, is anyones guess. But she has always been a bit stuck up.

Her grandkids are always in bed by 6, you know

Susan - How far into your pregnancy are you? A month or so? Are the symptoms (sickness, tiredness etc) similar to when you were pregnant with Alice or did it take a while before they came about?

I remember I got sick at around 7/8 weeks.
