Glad to hear you're not involved Em, it was just the way your post was written, it seemed to imply that you and others had been discussing MOTM. But do you think it's right to call him a 'bit of a drip'? I didn't think that was very nice.
In other news, I'm going to a party this weekend and there is a competition for the most innovative cake baked at the party, does anyone have any ideas?
A friend of mine makes maggot and dirt cake (or something like that). It is basically a refrigerator cake with jelly worms in. Would that work? Else there are some marvellous recipes around for beetroot and chocolate cake.
OMG the Edinburgh Fringe programme on BBC3 is hilarious!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Susan, the thermos cups I linked to, you have to tip them back to get the water out, the straw is only on the lid so it's more of a slip top spout than a straw into the cup...
We had to buy Chris some new jeans when out the other day because he had an open cup with a straw and tipped it to reach the straw instead of just lowering the cup - one lap full of juice, he looked like he'd wet himself and was walking like it :rotfl: good job next is right next to starbucks so not many saw him walk.
Jenny - if its ingredient I'd go for Maz's corgette cake (I think it's Maz anyway) or a beetroot cake, I know the cook yourself slim tv series had a brownie recipe with carrot and parsnip in too, I have one of the cook books so could look if its in the one I have you want?0 -

Either will do, it's not a serious competition but I would like something that actually tastes nice as we are supposed to eat them as well!Mum to DD born Oct 2009

I know ..... It's a scary thought. If we hadn't had that extra scan and all the attention (steroids etc), would I have worried so much about feeling less movement on the morning of his eventual birth? We were due a scheduled scan on the morning of his eventual birth but we wouldn't have had the steroids without the advance warning from the filmed scan.
eta. I'll put that again in English for Gill!
I had a scan at 27 weeks, all was okay, next one due at 29 weeks. The film crew were meant to film the 27wk scan, but missed it coz someone else was giving birth. So we had an extra scan at 28 weeks, which was meant to be solely for the tv programme. However, at this extra scan they found that my placenta was failing and Andrew would have to be delivered licketysplit! They wopped steroid jabs into me, monitored me daily afterwards, and eventually delivered him a week later.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
