That would be lovely but do you not want to keep them for Caitlyn?
Between them they have enough jumpers and cardis to fill the entire bottom of the wardrobe... Those are the ones that currently fit... My Mum bought Caitlyn a new cardi and matching hat round today and is currently knitting her another... We're in no danger of running out of knitwear!!

EA - at Lily and the sweet wrapper. Glad you fished it out.

Susan how on earth did they make mash into a finger food? Surely bubs could just shove their hand in and grab it if it was cool enough.

I shouldn't laugh, but Sophie spewed all over OH, and it soaked right through to his undies :rotfl:She was having one of her periodic afternoons of gluttony, and it was obviously too much.

I never understood all the complicated recipes for BLW. I just gave Alice what we were having if suitable. If not, I gave her veg sticks I'd previously cooked and frozen so they just needed a quick whizz in the microwave, cheese and fingers of bread. If we were having something like spaghetti bolognaise or chilli, I would dip the bread in it so that she got to try the taste. At breakfast I used to give her a spoon which had been dipped in my porridge until she was able to eat and then she started having her own bowl of it. The funniest recipe I saw was a very convoluted way of making mashed potato into a finger food.

That's funny. i don;t get it either. I thought BLW was just giving the baby whatever you were having?! No need for extra recipes. Well either way that's what we're doing. (Whatever we're having that is, including a tase of curry on naan bread that made the poor boy's eyes water! He liked it though!)
I'm off for an early night but just wanted to send my best wishes to MOTM and Lucy for tomorrow. I'm at a meeting all day but will check in tomorrow night.

SS/SJ- I have just ordered all my chutney ingredients to come tomorrow (while I am at work- OH will think I have gone mad when the order arrives) as well as a couple of jars of Smart Price cabbage and beetroot;). I'm also going to have a trawl through the fridge and cupboards to see if any jars of things can be finished off over the next few days.

Ha ha I bought 2 jars each of red cabbage and beetroot today and 10 jars of baby fruit mush for £5. They are lovely little jars, labels only stuck on with a tiny dab of glue and the fruit can be used with all sorts. Oh and my grandma used to makes tons of jam and she is giving me her jam pot :D

I just sat there laughing and he had a puddle of it in his lap!

    TWO KILOGRAMS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!

oh yes and a while ago I ordered a corset off amazon and it burst as soon as I tried to tighten the strings (I am not that lumpy) Anyhow I got a refund and never had to return it so I was all productive and sewed it and it's now perfect, and gives me a loooooooorvely non fat shape, just dont look on the inside where my soddy sewing is visible.

Thanks Susan. We had a roast today so i gave her some carrot sticks and broccolli and she just kept throwing it on the floor or hitting it with her teether.

I put a bit of broccolli in her mouth and she sucked on it then kept throwing it away.
Unless you think she desperately needs the food, I wouldn't be worried about whether she actually eats it at this stage. We started Alice at seven months and it was only after three months that she started consuming more than the odd crumb which went down accidentally. (Although I think she was at the extreme end of the spectrum - some babies start actually eating food much almost straight away.)

Dont think she was in a food mood today, she threw up loads of milk again :(
That must be hard. Is there any pattern to it that you can discern? Apparently I was a very sicky baby - my mum used to lie me on a blanket and wash it every night because it would get so disgusting.

It was very long and convoluted but I think it involved eggs and baking blobs of it in the oven. I don't think they would be able to manage it in the early stages of BLW but once they start eating it doesn't take long for them to be able to eat that kind of thing with their hands. Alice used to eat her porridge with her hands. (We did make sure it was thick rather than runny but it was quite impressive - I wish we'd videoed it.)

Must admit, I did BLW without even knowing, I was just idle :D I never worried about her choking either, I used to give her grapes and other shaped goodies that she would probably choke on but never did.

Only time she ever choked was when she found a biscuit wrapper out the bin and tried to inhale it :rotfl: Cue panicking me, even though I had done a First aid course for babies. Im rubbish when it actually happens but fab on a fake baby!

We used to have to wash S's moses basket sheet every night, and when we were all sharing (shudder) we had to lie him on a double thickness towel to avoid having to wash our sheet every night! During the day if we werent holding him upright we just laid him on his changing mat under the gym, but then he'd puke and it would go under his head and be just gross. I really really hope the next baby doesnt have reflux, I hope we've had our fill of refluxy babies :(
