i got an idea to sort this out...put up vat an extra 5% then everyone can have a badge..even better put it up 10% then its high rate mobility for everyone:beer:
god i cant wait till the compulsory dla medicals come into force might start to sort this shambles out !!!

okay then - lets reverse it
why should you have a blue badge? after all, clearly if you go around a supermarket or whatever your only parking 10 meters closer, as you eleqentally put it. what use is that extra 10 meters to you?
is it because you are in discomfort, pain, it is more difficult etc.?
well, those 3 things can be manifested in physical OR emotional ways equally.
so based on your logic, why should you get a blue badge? (exclude the extra space for a minute because not all disabled bays have extra space, nor do on-street disabled bays or single/double yellow lines)
im not saying you shouldnt, but by applying your logic you would disqualify yourself.
counselling is useless, ocd and bipolar are genetic problems.. medication is unhelpful at best so its just about making life more comfortable now. the problems cant be fully treated or go away, so its a bit like 'occupational therapy' sort of.. anything that makes life a bit more bearable.
they are permanent, disabling disabilities.0 -
the reason help is limited for councelling comes down to money...now if all the wasted money which is spent on some dla b/b where it is really not justified then that money could be spent on more councillers for m/h sufferers which will then mean they will not be to scared to walk across town but will be able to lead a normal active life........let me just say...when i fell i felt like s**t my legs were no longer mine double incontanance i know what deppression is..but speaking to people who had higher injeries than me i knew i was a lucky one ...so i just sucked it up and played the hand i was delt
Counselling doesn't help everyone with depression.your right, throwing money at it doesnt fix the problem, what good would an extra £18 be? - a blue badge is a tangible helpful thing that doesnt really cost the government any ongoing expense
It does because it means less people paying for parking, therefore the government (or whoever receives money from the parking) receives less money.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

everything is money sad but true, blue badge is what 2 pound payed for by who recives the cost of parking lost, but councilling money wise i have no idea over but whats best should come 1st0 -
i got a badge because i am paralized spinal cord injury and cannot walk i use a wheelchair... thats why i have never had any problems with dla or blue badge
again, by your logic why should someone in a wheelchair necessarily need a blue badge?
if you have go go round a whole supermarket, how does 10 extra meters help you?
im not saying you shouldnt get one, but do you see how by your logic, you wouldnt need one as that extra 10 meters if nothing when you have to go round a whole supermarket...
with mental health its more subjective, not everyone should qualify for a bluebadge, far from it - but those at the severe end of the scale with mobility problems because of it should2 esa medicals passed successfully (support group - it can be done!!)!! :j0 -

me and you both no i said i need a wide space and dropped curds not a close space not the same logic....is this the ocd part showing
you dont always have larger spaces or dropped kerbs- i already said that.. exclude that for a minute
again, ill ask the same question again. apart from that, why should you be entitled, by your logic?
because its uncomfortable, painful or difficult?
same reason as someone with bad mental health, except any pain is 'emotional'2 esa medicals passed successfully (support group - it can be done!!)!! :j0 -

i now im in the right space when i see the painted man on the road guess what sitting in a chair :rotfl:0 -
no other reason just need to be able to get out of car into my chair i am strugerling to se your point?? once in my chair i can zoom about all day my shoulders are proberly bigger than your thighs..i am not scared of going anywhere

what about blue badge entitlement to park on yellow and single lines?
the whole point of that is to let people who have serious walking difficulties have closer access to places.. thats the whole point. its NOT exclusive to wheelchairs.. if you think that then no wonder you think the way you do, because you dont understand what the blue badge is for
its for anyone with severe mobility problems, not just if they are in a chair or need extra space. its like you have misinterprited what the blue badge is for -. someone on crutches doesnt need the extra space (usually) - they need the blue badge because walking is difficult/uncomfortable/painful etc2 esa medicals passed successfully (support group - it can be done!!)!! :j0 -
