Hello everyone and welcome to the July save on work lunches thread, now into it's seventh month.

Please let me know what your target is for July, for anyone new to this challenge, it's to help you reduce the amount of money you spend on lunches at work by bringing in food from home, you'll find lots of people on here to help you with ideas on what to do and keep you motivated though the challenge expecially now being summer it's a bit harder to remain focused. Why not enjoy the sun in the park with your own sandwiches or home made lunches, all the better when know you'll be saving money too.

I've also posted the links to the previous months challenges below.

    Thank you, Mr Green!

I had a lovely big lunch today as I have the dentist this afternoon and I imagine that I wont want to eat. So I had a green salad with HM vinagerette and some lovely leftover veggie lasgne. om nom nom!

Its a good start as last month was a complete crash and burn on lunches. Back to bringing them in every day for me, please!

I did try cooking extra pasta last night but my boyfriend was more hungry than usual so there wasn't enough left for work today - and I ended up going to McDonalds. Good start yesterday with fruit and crunchy nut cornflakes.

    Hi!

Please put me down for no more than 6 bought lunches this month. Didn't do too badly last month, but already bought 2 so far this month!

Will try to stay within my new limit for the rest of the month :)

    Hello...
I've been missing for a while (but still following the rules of the thread). Chuck me down for 1 spend this month (snack in between j!!! and 2 which I had on Thursday 1st) all other lunches brought in.

Today i've got jacket potatoes with loads of low fat spread, and a mullerrice brought in from home, ooh and I think there's a banana in works' fridge thats mine too. (On the plain boring food as I had a "bad reaction" to a Happy Hour special the parents took me for on Monday after work - needless to say i'm off Italian food for a while).

Please can you add me? I'm still following the rules, although not posting much...too busy!
No bought lunches for July so 17 lunches from home (as I'm holiday for a week)

I wonder how much money we have all saved over the last 6 months of not buying lunches?

    #5 - Clang_uk - 18/22, #6 - D3mon4ngel, #7 - missworks2jobs, #8 - Josephine82 you've all been added.

    Good luck

I've had a couple of days off work been to see some cricket, I've used up one of my shop bought lunches already.

Josephine - I recon I've saved about £40 each month, what I have done this year is really grasped the challenge paying off my credit cards and bringing my own lunches has really helped, not spending that money on lunches has made it easier for me budget and pay as much money towards my credit cards as possible, gone are the days of me just paying the minimum payment and getting nowhere.

I used to spend 150 per month for three of us, I kept that separate, and shopped just with that amount for lunches. Including a few Approved Food orders just for the drink, crisps, cup a soup, cous cous, fruit pots, peanuts kind of things, and on average I have about 80 pounds left at the end of the month to do other things with.

Sorry to intrude can you add me please? for 2 bought lunches this Month.
