July save on work lunches challenge

Tesco does some quite nice microwave pasta meals in their healthy eating range for a quid and also Sainsbury's has an ok chicken curry and rice again a quid. I take one of those to work along with some microwave veg (those that come in separate portions). So lunch costs me about £1.30 a day. When I used to buy it everyday I was spending about £3-£5 per day. Jeez. That's a potential £100 a month spend reduced to approx £26!0

After a suggestion by Crap_with_money.com that I could keep some Super Noodles at work for emergencies, I poped into Tesco, they currently have Batchelors Super Noodles on offer, not too sure if they are much cheaper than normal, 61p each, buy 2 get 2 till free http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=255447864
Works out to be just over 30p a (100g) packNearly debt free

Well done, you done really well, much better than me.
Thanks to 415SanFran's suggestion that I keep some crackers at work, well I've had to use up some of my supplies at work as I was a bit late for work and didn't have anything prepared for lunch, so it was Pickle, crackers and peanuts with tea for lunch, doesn't sound very appetising but it was this or going 2 over my target.
Hope everyone else's challenge went well. Look out for the August challenge Sunday afternoon.Nearly debt free

I did well this month did not go over, this was helped as usual by getting an order from approved foods. Savings on the drinks alone have been substansial, I think I have spent around 50 pounds this month for the three of us, so that means that I can put 100 into saving, as that is what I used to spend often more when the children were buying sanwiches and collage and buying drinks out of the machine.
Also the weather eating in the park with all the nice flowers around and the trees in full bloom, has really helped, OK so the weather has turned of late but I have been lucky so far with rain only twice I think.
Please will you add me for next month Mrgreen?
