I'm not trying to upset anyone. Where have I been nasty?
Just responding to a thread on an internet forum [an open forum, where anyone can post].fly_dragon_fly wrote: »can i ask where do you people come from? i have never seen you on a wedding thread ever and i'm on all the time.
This is an open forum. Anyone who can read can come on and respond to threads, you don't need a pass to get on.
When you press the 'new posts' button at the top - believe it or not - all the new posts are listed in time order.
If one is interested, then one can go in and type.
If one has an opinion - one can express it as long as the rules of the site are followed.
Be nice to all moneysavers....is the general one. Well, I was responding originally to the 'here we go again' comment on a topic where I see wildlife on a daily basis being affected by inane litter - ergo I responded.
It is not my fault that brides are so anxious of being thought 'boring' and 'unimaginative' that they feel they need to do all number of 'fun' and 'exciting; things to make themselves look good.
I could ask 'where do YOU people come from?' - haven't you read the news at any point over the last 25 years? Do you think that your day is SO important that all sense of responsibility goes out of the window? Would you usually throw balloons away into the bushes or would you usually put it in the bin? I'm guessing the latter, so why do it on your 'big day' just because you can?0 -

How about don't ask a question if you don't want people to answer it.
So we should just ignore the fact they kill animals because it looks pretty?0 -
I don't believe that the poster has a crew; my point of view comes from seeing the untold amount of rubbish that ends up in the area in which I live; usually from ignorant tourists that waltz around expecting people to pick up after them day in day out without a care in the world for the wildlife around them. Balloons being released with no care about what happens after the champers has gone flat in memory of those that cannot be with us at on our special day! How ignorant!
Perhaps the poster has previous form because they see all sorts of dumb-a$$ bridal 'must haves' that will have long reaching detrimental effects long after the bride has forgotten what it was they did or why they did it in the first place.
Latex and plastic will not biodegrade....no matter how much the people on the website tell you they do. Think about it.....if that was the case why would there be a problem in the first place? It's in their interests to tell people that they biodegrade....they want to sell the things!
Assuming they are made from latex and plastic ? I have my on views on this subject but i wouldnt post them unless i was sure i wasnt talking out my ar5eVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -

I was taking the 'made from latex' from the info in post 2 that said they were 'made from latex'.
The plastic reference is in relation to 6 pack rings which the manufacturers claim they are made from plastic which degrade in 2 months. Which they don't.0 -
Just checked . and latex is classed as biodegradable , found this on a balloon sellers site
Bio Dove Balloons will degrade anywhere from ten days to three months depending on conditions. Regular helium balloons, however, take several years. If left alone the dove balloons may take up to three months to degrade. However exposure to the sun’s rays, water, heat or physical stresses it can take as little as ten days. This is an exceptionally short amount of time and you can be confident that you are contributing to going green and doing your part to help save the environment without sacrificing style at your gathering
So they say its an exceptionally short amount of time , that is a matter of opinion maybe
I assume that all the negative posters on here never use anything that isnt 100% 'natural ' , eat what they can forage and live in caves ?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -
