    Hi Guys

All I want is my cash back not vouchers. Surely Morrisons should give me my cash back and pursue the individual that they clearly have proof of taking the money.

Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated. I do realise i left the money but if this was a manned till then I wouldn't be chasing the cash right now.

    Are you serious???

YOU forgot to take YOUR cashback that YOU requested from the self setrvice till that YOU chose to use. How on earth are Morrisons responsible for YOU not picking the money up?

Advice? Take the vouchers and think yourself lucky.

I really hope Morrisons stick to their guns here, you deserve nothing for your own mistake.

Funny old world , i was in Morrisons recently and i was using the self service and there was a £20 note sticking out the machine, we had a lovely Chinese takeaway for tea tonight.

...if i were the other person i would have gladly took it as in my eyes finders keepers hahaha

Whilst I agree that it is the OP's fault for not taking their money, I would have handed it in to Customer Services - but I guess we can't all rely on honesty these days can we :p

They had footage of a guy taking customer's money from one their checkouts.
Did you report the matter to the police (since you have access to video evidence) ? Would this counts as theft ?

PS: I think Morrisons have gone well beyond their duty by offering £20 in vouchers - well done to them :T

Do you really think the police would try to track down the person for the sake of £20?

They wouldn't even know where to start, or perhaps they should have a 24/7 stake out incase the person comes back. :rotfl:

The rep then went on to say that since I left the cash at the checkout. I was still responsible and that Morrison won't refund me the cash
    Why would they?
It's YOUR fault and no-one else's that you didn't pick up the money.
What on earth makes you think that Morisson's are somehow reliable for your absent-mindedness?

I think Morrisons were MORE than generous giving you vouchers, as ultimately its nobody elses fault but your own. If you want to persuit the cash, chase it up with the customer who by chance found a nice £20 bonus when he/she used the checkout.

I would not have given you vouchers, as its certainly not Morrisons responsibility to ensure you dont leave any money behind.
Its Morissons fault for not having an attendant at every till telling people to collect stuff!
They DO, they are called cashiers, they hang around every check out till that is not labelled "SELF SERVICE", the clue is in the word "SELF SERVICE", ther would be absolutely no point in having a self service checkout, if each one had an attendant.

Face it, you only have yourself to blame for this, be happy you got some vouchers and try not to be so neglectful next time you shop.
