OP I asked the job centre about the same thing when I was claiming JSA and they told me that providing I could still sign on that I could go. They said only if it affected my signing on days did it matter. The lady did wink at me at the time so Im assuming its probably not kosher but if you can still sign on on the days that you normally do then I dont see that it will matter. They wont know in any case. If it does affect your signing day you will have to tell them and lose your money for the duration of your holiday.

    Thanks for the tips. :)

I don't want to risk doing anything illegal though.

As i know for a fact i will be able to claim my full housing benefit for the 2weeks anyways,
as you are allowed 13weeks holiday per every 52weeks period when claiming housing benefit.

And so the only money il be missing out on is £134 jsa, which while is quite alot of money, isn't worth risking getting a criminal record over.

I sign-on tomorrow so il ask them exactly what the procedure is, and how fast i can re-claim after getting back if i have to sign-off for it.

    Thanks
