Hi
Welcome
Can we just check?
I assume that you CC debts are £12,000 and £4200 and your Mortgage and secured debts are £68000 and £25,000?
With regard to the secured debts, is this the value of the mortgage, loan you took out or the current value? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thanks for sorting it out.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Hi MM
I'll have a closer look at this for you later. Might be an idea to delete the post with the confusing debt figures - the one that says your credit card balances are £4.20 and £12.
Then we'll all use the corrected version...0 -

Hi Ras,
cc are the current debt but I am not paying any off the amounts, it is just interest and PPI which I did not realise, I asked them today about freezing interest but they refused on the phone.
The mortage is what I took out in 2003 and loan amount in 2008, was trying to save my business but failed so now in full time employment.0 -

Hi mm, you will get lots of help if you stick with it here! And I definitely know what it feels like to be embarrassed over budgeting as a single parent. You will get thro this and sometimes you may even find it fun.
Groceries spending was my biggest/easiest/most immediate thing to address first. Take a look on the Old Style board for some ideas.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Will have a look for old Style Boards thank you, I have not eaten myself today, if I showed you a photo of the contents of my fridge, freezer and cupboards at the moment social services will prob be called, I have fed my daughter though. x0 -
just wanted to send you a big hug. i know exactly how you feel. i try and be strong and then days like today i just crack. the people here are great . xxmiserablemum wrote: »Hi I have just joined, I am in a state and cannot see a way out.
I have been crying for days and not sure I can do this anymore.
My outgoings are £1636 per month and income is £1691.
I have no late payments and up to date with mortage, secured loan etc but cannot afford the basics such as food and petrol, I need my car for work. I have to sell things on Ebay such to feed myself and my daughter. I am a single mum.
I am so down I cannot see a way out, I have contacted CCCS but my highest payments are my mortgage and a secured loan, they can help with unsecured debts but it only reduces my outgoings by £150.
I do have equity in my house but not a high enough income to remortgage, I can't take a mortgage holiday as I have a secured loan against the property so they will not allow it.
If I can sell my house, it has been on the market two years I would pay my debts but will be left with nothing and my outgoings will not be much less as rents are so high.
I cannot see a way out and feel so suicidal, if it was not for my daughter I would not be here.
I can't tell anybody as I am so embarassed and I only have parents who live in a one bedroom council house and are on a pensions.
I really don't want to be here anymore.bsc 347:j0
