You will be charged £9 each (are you sure you havent been invoiced yet?) as you ordered 6 and the price is based on order rather than sales. The £9.80 price was standard HT price for one only.
Free gifts - if you were returning one or two then I would tend to 'forget' about them. In the case of four it's a moral dilemma - personally I would return them as that would really be taking the mickey (IMHO).
HTHPlease do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Yes, hadn't dawned on me that they'd be automatically charged out at the MM rate per the order as Avon would be expecting the rep to sell them. Think you're spot on re. your advice about returning the freebies; got to say I tend to do a mixture of both i.e. return some, keep some. Looks more like an 'oversight' then but often wonder if Avon ever check?
Haven't done many MM's; only tend to do them if it's something I like myself i.e. then if I don't sell them am happy to keep in stock for my own future use or if, like Lotus Shield, they came with a belting incentive. So far only sold 2 out of the 10 but the remaining 8 only 'cost me' £20 now and according to the incentive I should be getting £50 worth of something or other in C15. Anyone know what the 'something or other' will be by the way?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Also noticed the message about the Lip Tint. Am hoping I remember to tell my customers when delivering it - and, of course, that they remember when using it. My guess is that they may end up getting returned....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I am thinking about being an Avon rep as we need the extra pennies! You all seem so friendly here I hope you don't mind me asking a couple of questions.
I would probably only do family friends and my workplace. However I wouldn't mind putting leaflets through doors asking people to contact me if they would like a brochure. I understand that I could only do that on a designated territory. Is that allowed? Also I work most of the day so what happens with deliveries? Are the drivers allowed to put it in the garage or do you have to be at home? I don't get back until 4pm. Lastly do you have to have an order for every campaign? I don't want to pester people where I work.

Don't know if there's a SL in your area that subscribes to this thread but if there is it would probably best for them to come and see you to talk you through everything.
Meanwhile, you can certainly start by just doing F&F, which would include all your work colleagues and everyone you know on a personal basis/everyone you come into contact with i.e. from your dentist to your hair dresser! :rotfl:
If you choose to have Given Territory then you'll be asked to service them with books rather than just leaflet them.
On your application form there's a place for quoting details of a Safe Location i.e. garage, shed, porch etc. (if applicable) for the carrier to leave the goods if you're not in and/or you may be able to just speak to the carrier and request delivery after 4pm. They're usually very amenable as it makes it easier/quicker for them to get into a routine with you and know you'll be in.
It's a good idea to place an order every campaign i.e. to keep your account open, but that can be as little as a shower gel. You'll probably find that some people will order every campaign, others only every few months.... It's a good idea though to offer your books around every campaign and just see what happens.

Am new to posting so please bear with me. I have been reading through the Avon board over the last week or so and I sent in an online enquiry about signing up but have had no contact from anyone yet. Just an automatic e-mail response. How long does it usually take and is there a better way to make contact? Thanks!0 -
I think it took almost a week to hear anything when I did my online enquiry. Another way, and a way I think you would get a quicker response, would be to sign up under a local Sales Leader. Basically these are individuals who have their own teams of Reps.
I signed up online and really wish I had signed under a SL. I am lucky that my Area Sales Manager (ASM) is lovely but I think being under a SL would be better as they get commision on what you earn and are therefore more likely to be of greater help (ASMs are salaried by AVON). You still earn the same no matter whether your under a ASM or SL.
Finally, I am not a SL (yet!) so by no means am I touting, poaching or whatever (as people have been accused of in the past), this is just my honest opinion.0
