they may have had a return or a new delivery in time for your invoice being prepared
Maybe I was just lucky, all I know that putting the additional order in has not only made sure my friend gets her order, even though she was late in giving it to me, but my other friend doesn't have to wait ages for her Morgan bag. Its great!!!DD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! TEAM PINK!!

Neighbourhood watch area and about half the houses had signs on saying "no cold callers, no doorstep sellers" put catalogues through the door anyway, but awaiting angry phone calls ect! Also delivered to one house where a dog ran up to the door as I was putting the catalogue through the letter box, dog grabbed the catalogue out of my hands and ran off with it into the house. I think that is the last I will see of that one!
If like me you do not drive and find lugging 40 brochures around to be painful, use a trolley case! Just pull it along, making the whole delivery quick, easy and painless
I never had any problem with those signs - about 50% of my customers had them. Perhaps I was lucky with my area (not by any means the poshest) but almost everyone was lovely. I was worried to start with because I'd been warned that there were a few problem people, but I never came across them. After all, one person's favourite brochure is another's junk mail.
I was always very careful to take notice if I was asked not to deliver a book, although I would re-canvass around every 9 - 12 months with a polite note saying
I appreciate that you may have asked me not to deliver an AVON brochure, but because people move on and circumstances change, I like to check once in a while that the situation is still the same. I am in the area anyway, so have no problem if you would like to have a brochure just to browse even if you rarely buy, but at the same time I don’t want to bother those who are really not interested. I know that many people associate Avon only with make-up and perfume, but if you haven’t seen a book for a while you may be pleasantly surprised. We also have a wide range of both basic and luxury toiletries, an excellent range of mens’ products, clothing, accessories and gifts, all at competitive prices and with a 90 day ‘no quibble’ guarantee (you can even try your purchase and still return it for a full refund if you are not 100% happy).
To save me having to disturb you, please put this brochure outside your door and I will collect it on:
SATURDAY (after 9am).
PLEASE TICK BELOW AS APPROPRIATE
Door No…………….
•Yes please, I would like to have AVON brochures delivered in future (no obligation to buy).
•Thank you, but I am not interested at the moment
Then, of course. collect it on the day you've said! I used almost expired books so if the book wasn't out I would just leave a note giving my contact details rather than knock and invite a mouthful
One of my customers had even put up a sign saying 'No cold callers except Avon & Betterware'
PS - forgot to say that hardly anyone actually ticked either box, but I would take that as a 'no' rather than risk upsetting them (despite what my ASM would say on the subject)

AHhhhh! I see!
Thanks to you all for your replies. Of course that makes sense! Good grief fancy not realising that! At least I now have some time to find my way around the site and understand it all a bit better before my next campaign.
Thank goodness for you guys!0 -
Hulloooooooooooo! Well, i only have about 15 books to collect in now and i have reached over £200 in C15!! I'm veeeeeeeeeeeryyyyyyyyyyyyy chuffed!:j and that'll pay for my ladies night stuff (well, some of it! lol) I cant believe how well this is going... i cannot wait for the christmas books as my orders are probably going to soar! I never dreamed that it would go this well... long may it last. It just makes me want to do more and more.
Though i have one question... how do you organise you book drops of the next campaign in the week between order and delivery, i dont want to be dropping books to people and them going "well, i havent had my order yet so im not going to order from this book"
That's brilliant - well done!
I used to mark my calling book with an 'O' if people had ordered so that I missed them out when delivering to the rest of the area. They then had their new book with their order. I certainly wouldn't give people the opportunity to see that what they have ordered is cheaper in the next book
If anyone had ever challenged me on that, I would have said that I didn't see the next brochure until I had my order, but no-one ever did'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Also don't forget about your admin fee for the first campaign! £7.50 although they wave it if you reac MOV on the second campaign.0 -

Mmmm good thinking, I never thought about people seeing that stuff was cheaper in the next book and that I was giving them that info before I delivered. I was just trying to save some petrol - I used to drop order notes, then drop all my customer books at the same time as I delivered orders, then go again to pick them up a week later. If I can collect some when I deliver their order then it saves me another trip the week after.0 -
I've done it a few times when I am organised enough and have never yet, fingers crossed, had a customer reply that they want a refund as it is cheaper in the next book. Half the time they have forgotten what they ordered and how much it cost. And I think they don't always sit and compare their invoice with the book.0

Yes I've not had anybody ask for a refund yet! (furiously touching wood).0 -
I just paid the full balance in the end because the credit hasn't shown up yet (it's listed "received" under my orders, but it's not shown next to "pending credits" on the account balance page). None of my print-outs of the return show the figure and I didn't want to get it wrong and end up still owing money past the 13 day deadline (even if it would just be a few pence).
So will the credits I'm expecting put my Avon account in credit and get taken off my next balance owed?
I just didn't like to see it sitting there being owed and my internet is playing up so I wanted to make sure it got paid - credits processed or not.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
