Aaaaghhhhh. MY friend has just dropped round an order for £26, even though I told her the final date for order was Tuesday night! Thing is her and her mum are a couple of my best customers as last order they ordered £56 worth of stuff so I don't really want her to have to wait ages for the order as the next order doesn't get delivered until 17th October, so it would probably be about a month for delivery. What to do? I don't really want to do an additional order and incur the charges. Might see if I can get a couple more orders from friends and family to bump it up to MOV, then I don't mind paying the £2.50.
Check out if you can do any creative ordering with it to scrape back the £2.50? Personally if it is a friend and a good customer, I would prob stick it through anyway. Have you checked for any free postage codes for the main website (not doing it as a rep). I did this the other week with 2 orders that hadn't gone through in my regular order, also using Quidco and doing all this made it cheaper than ordering as a rep without reaching MOV :TEveryone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
Just done a credits request but the credit isn't showing on my account balance. They are still asking for the original order cost.
I have just done it so should I wait a bit to see if it appears?
If I pay off the full account balance now will I just end up in credit with Avon (to be deducted from what I need to pay them next campaign)? If so, I don't mind doing that.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

the credit request doesn't show straight away, they process it.
what you will find, if you pay off your balance, minus the credit requests, it will show as pending credits or it will show as credits on your account, and your balance will be £0.00.
So pay your current balance - credits requested = new amount.0 -
Hey just a question for any sales leaders. How do you generally go about getting new reps? do you advertise in say supermarkets? How successful do you find this?? Just weighing up whether to become a sales leader as my asm is asking for some more in my area0

Just been to pick up my books and have 4 more orders! :j So I'll definitely make HOV for my first campaign  Really chuffed and enjoying it very much. All lovely people so far, though of course I'm sure there will be the odd rude one, but at least I am gaining confidence before I come across them!0

I know this is a bit of an issue and it seems to be having an effect on my round too. My ASM, although very nice and as helpful as she can be has advised me that she cannot know where all her reps are canvassing. Thing is, one order from one road - together with an assertion from one resident that the area is already covered - tells me that someone is canvassing my allocated road. ASM has suggested knocking on doors and asking other residents. Hmmm
It's awkward but I'm thinking of going back to the person who told me that they already have a rep (they were quite specific and told me they ordered regularly) and asking her if she would pass my phone number on to the other rep to call me. Is that out of line do you think? I just don't want to waste time (and books).:question:
I'm not bothered if someone has the area already - I would just like to know is all.0 -
On the other side of the coin - if I advertise the fact that I am a new rep in the area and I receive orders from someone else's stomping ground - who say hasn't been canvassed for a while - where would I stand on that?0
-
Kitten Claws - yes, you can ask this lady to either give you the rep's number or pass yours on. If the ASM is saying the road is free but it was allocated, this rep needs to tell the ASM when she was allocated it and how long she has been canvassing it. Unfortunately not all ASM's keep a good record of territory and who is allocated what.
If you advertise and a customer contacts you and lives on another Rep's road, well that customer is yours. She/he contacted you as they saw your advert.
If the Rep is not canvassing and there are customers who want to buy Avon and you are actively advertising, why shouldn't you have the customer?0 -
Thanks Aureol. Again you have been a great help x0

Go onto Avon Connects and enter the postcode(s) into Find a Rep and see what it throws up. Not that it'll necessarily bring up the Rep who has the territory of course, but at least it'll give you an idea of how many possible Reps there are, so why shouldn't you be one of them ? The days of territory being sacrosanct are numbered by the looks of it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
