Does anyone has any tips on using the bags from Avon. I got a pack of the resealable ones (with no holes) and I cant get them to reseal they are too fiddly and Im not a patient person. I dont want to give them to customers in case they get cross too. Having said that it was quite late last night. I may try again today. :o

I post mine unsealed. The customers then seal them before leaving them outside. I have ripped one bag trying to unseal in the past and feel its quicker (!) for my customers to get in unsealed bags! Also means my order form pokes out of the top and I can ensure the right house gets the right book.

  • Would someone please explain to me why each time I have tpo collect my books - it's pouring with rain? grrrrrrrr.

This is my third drop for my first campaign - and I have been soaked for each one. :( I'm mindful of looking fairly well groomed when delivering my books - so if anyone has any helpful hints on how to look glamourous whilst decked out in wellyboots and a snorkel- I would be grateful :) The wellies are leopard print - so I've a head start there.. lol

On this last drop I did an introductory letter - on my own AVON letterhead (Helvetica light - tracked out) - promoting the ANEW range. I also mentioned that I previously bought from AVON for some twenty years and was delighted by the high end products at affordable prices. My ASM (lovely, helpful lady) was impressed with the letter. I thought I might get a telling off for copying the AVON logo - but she said it was fine. If it bears some fruit - I will let you know.

Shall I just do it? dont want to be late with first campaign and I have quite a few orders - think I've hit HOV
What do you think? is it easy enough without being shown? I think I can do it but not sure if I should wait for SL seeing as they arranged it for tomorrow

To place your order log in and go to My Orders on the black menu at the top of the page. A drop-down menu will appear. Choose "place an order". A message pops up telling you that you main order is free. Press "continue". Then choose which campaign you're in. It will tell you on the right hand side of the page. Mine says Campaign 16 (the 16 is a big font size) 13 days left. In smaller writing next to it it says Campaign 16 is due by 10pm on... So whichever campaign you have showing on the right-hand side of the page, saying it's due at 10pm, is the one you want to choose from the drop-down list. Then it asks you for an order type. I only get 1 choice and that's "regular".

Then you'll see a screen with file divider tabs at the top of the page. "Order products" is the one you'll see first. "Add items" is in big letters just under the tab. Then go through order forms one by one. I do any creative ordering notes before I start putting everything in online. This might not apply to you if it's your first order and you can't backorder.

So under "Camp no." choose the brochure number you're buying the item from. In future when you start backordering you can do one item with 16 selected, and then do the next item with 15 selected. You can put current and backorder items all in the same form and the same order. Then do product number and quantity.

I do one order form at a time. When it's done I mark the form in some way so I know it's entered, then click on "view descriptions". I check everything matches what the customer expects. Then I click "save order". The order form on screen goes blank and I start on the next paper order form. Below the order form on screen click on "show saved products" to see the items you've saved. Once items are saved you can log out of Avon and come back hours or days later to carry on inputting orders.

You can also use the on screen order form in the "order products" tab to get things like samples. My SL advised me just to look in HT and put in the product code from there. The "samples, sales aids and stationary" tab also allows you to order these things but it's a long list and it's clearer to see what you want in HT.

When you've done your last paper order form/or added samples and sales aids, click "save order" one last time then start scrolling down the page.

You'll be prompted to order brochures, but you don't have to order any to continue. Check whether you're getting your next lot of brochures from your SL (I did, but the Smart Start scheme seems to vary across the country). You'll be asked for number of customer served before you can continue.

At the bottom of the page click "continue". After this I think you see some HT brochure covers, but if you've got what you want from these, just click "continue". Then, on every page after this just scroll through everything, making sure you're happy with everything, prices are what you expected etc. If stock indicators are shown leave items on with a red cross next to them because they might still arrive (thanks to the tip on here for that! :) ). You go through a few pages (sorry I can't remember exactly what's on them :o ), but you'll get to one that has a pink "send order to Avon" button. That's the point of no return, but as long as you're happy you click on it.

And that's it! You get a confirmation number at the end. If you've gone through an online checkout before it's quite similar except the typing in of the product numbers at the beginning. Oh and you don't have to pay at the end!

I think that's everything... Your SL will still have a few things like returns to explain and show you on the website.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • Hi everyone,

Is there anyway of checking what streets have been allocated to you? My husband was given 5 streets to start off with, four of which are all big posh houses with no numbers just names. One road has just one house on it and the rest are businesses. One of the houses though must have shown the brochure to a family member who lives on a different street a bit further away. I know this area and it is a lot smaller houses and I just thought this area might be better so have asked his ASM if it was available. Amazingly it is, so I have asked her if it can be allocated to him. The problem I have is that last time she allocated some territory, it took about 2 weeks for her to confirm it. I don't want him to start dropping books down this road, only to find out he only has part of it.

    Thanks for your help.

PS Just to add last time she allocated the roads on the same day we confirmed but didn't let us know for a couple of weeks so I am thinking she will probably do the same this time.

  • Delivery date question. On the website they have a list of dates when to submit your orders by and the delivery dates. My question is are these delivery dates if you submit your order on the last day of that campaign or does everyone get their stock delivered that day regardless of when you ordered?
  • Thanks for your help Claregre, the demo bag will definitely be going back now I know it can!

    Afternoon ladies.....

Does anyone know if you can send demo items back?? I ordered the Assun Sequined Bag out of HT C17 as I thought it looked very festive and would be a nice 'going out bag'. However, its awful, the straps are really cheap PVC and the shape of it looks nothing like the picture on page 38 in my opinion.

Anyway I obviously want to send it back but I'm not sure now whether I can or not? Any ideas :o

yep - just use a code for that you aren't happy with the product, we're allowed to return items we aren't happy with, I've done it quite often with no problems :)
