I exempted myself, as I rung they automatically explained about it to me, and said being as I pay NI through my job there would be no point me paying it again!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A
  • i think i will be eligible for customer leads now as i have just completed my 5th camp and have way more than £500! how do i check if im eligible on avon connects? i just cant get my head round the site its mental and very hard xx
  • Crikey, went to collect books and got 2 good orders but a woman had a right go at me when she answered her door. She already has a rep but was getting cross about avon giving me the road. I know her rep and she told me not to worry as she only does her friends and family. She said to do the roads and people will tell me if they use her. All she had to do was leave her book out with a note saying that, like her other customers have.

Ha - I had one of those! Had a right go at me when I was dropping one of my new streets, and said she was sure that someone already covered the street as a few of her friends on the street were customers of the other rep. I stopped dropping then, with the intention of ringing my asm when I got back, but never got round to it.

When I went to pick the books up, I had 2 orders, so obviously the street doesn't belong to someone else and if it does they need to canvass it better!!!!

I give that woman's house a wide berth. I asked her to leave the book outside and I'd go back and pick it up, when I got there she had thrown it halfway down the drive!!

I was just edging backwards saying right I wont come to you again and she just went on and on about she knows my first books are free but that doesnt mean avon can give me a road belonging to other people.
So I stopped and said erm Im not new to this I have alot of customers and have been given this road to try to get some more, which I did on my first drop 3 new last campaign and 2 so far on this one and Im not even done yet. The woman she talked about only does certain houses.
I know she was looking out for her friend but she was being a bit silly and then at the end she said Im also only thinking of you so you are not dissapointed! I have reached over mov with 4 people. I am far from it, as the other 19 people who have ordered in the past only got their books today.
  • Does anyone has any tips on using the bags from Avon. I got a pack of the resealable ones (with no holes) and I cant get them to reseal they are too fiddly and Im not a patient person. I dont want to give them to customers in case they get cross too. Having said that it was quite late last night. I may try again today. :o

I am glad you said that, I thought it was just me!

No, I can't seal them very well either. Have just ordered some more from Avon - if they arrive and have holes in then they are going back and I'm going to try the ones Elliebee suggested from t'interweb.
  • Afternoon ladies.....

Does anyone know if you can send demo items back?? I ordered the Assun Sequined Bag out of HT C17 as I thought it looked very festive and would be a nice 'going out bag'. However, its awful, the straps are really cheap PVC and the shape of it looks nothing like the picture on page 38 in my opinion.

Anyway I obviously want to send it back but I'm not sure now whether I can or not? Any ideas :o
  • Argh...! I may need help... I signed up a week ago, got my account details today and was supposed to be meeting SL to put my first order in tomorrow (as well as actually find out what I should be doing as nothing was explained) but now I've registered online its telling me my order is due by 10pm tonight...
Hah! Shall I just do it? dont want to be late with first campaign and I have quite a few orders - think I've hit HOV
What do you think? is it easy enough without being shown? I think I can do it but not sure if I should wait for SL seeing as they arranged it for tomorrow

Yes you can send demo items back the same as items from the normal book - same process, just use the reason code for "quality disappointing".
