lol, I am guilty of replying to posts as I go along to find that they have already been answered half way down!0 -

I have just added my thoughts on there too. Tried to keep it nice. There will always be extremists who just try to rub you up the wrong way. The comment about the dog poo made me laugh though. I must admit, I would have been tempted to put it back through their letterbox saying the dog could keep it (leaving the bag open of course) :rotfl:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -

Or go back with some fairy washing up liquid and squeeze the whole bottle through the letterbox. (try washing that off a carpet lol)
Seriously though, those who look down their noses at those trying to make a living are nothing short of moronic. How easy is it to put a catalogue back on the doorstep, compared to being bothered to rant about it on a forum. How very dull.0 -
If I make my MOV up with a personal order - will I get the same rate of commission?0

Hopefully most agents/distributors would not letterbox if their was a sign requesting you not to.:D
However its worth noting even if they are in an official cold calling zone,Avon reps are still allowed to operate.
Q2. What sort of people is the zone designed to prevent calling?
A2. The zone is primarily designed to reduce instances of doorstep crime and distraction burglary and therefore the primary purpose is to prevent rogue traders. However, the zone is there to stop any unwanted cold callers and to empower residents to have confidence to deter callers away who they do not wish to deal with.
The zone is not designed to prevent people from distributing leaflets or catalogues such as Betterware or the “Avon Lady”. It is also not designed to stop people on legitimate business such as gas, electricity and water meter readers.

Yes, provided you order commissionable items, i.e. not net or demo.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Yes it means you will qualify for your discount of 20%...however don't forget that you will have to pay for the items you have for yourself unless you return them afterwards.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Just read that betterware thread...seems far too much effort to post a reply as with those sort of people, they think they're right and can't see any other point of view. I have plenty of customers who have signs up saying they don't buy at the door, and yet they have happily bought avon from me for over a year and a half - for *most* people, those signs are usually up to discourage the bl@@dy electric/gas people who insist on trying to get you to switch companies.
Didn't Fiver used to be an avon rep themselves though? Seems a bit harsh if so from their comments about avon reps!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Hi all,
I have another question. My husband has just been out and picked up his second lot of books this morning. Mixed results, but we weren't really expecting much as it is mostly big posh houses with security gates etc. However, he has got one order for £46.98 which made it worth his while and only two people who said they didn't want any more books. One of these was because her sister is an Avon Lady, but she did say that if she ever stops, she will let us know and will buy from us instead which is good news.
Anyway, thats me getting sidetracked form my question. We did an offer as this was the first time we had done this street as a buy over £15 and get a free gift. Well obviously, the person who has spent £46.98 deserves a lovely free gift, however, I am a bit unsure as to what to give her. She has ordered loads of glimmersticks, a lipstick, a brush and a couple of room and linen sprays. What would you suggest I give her for a free gift. I really want to get her hooked on something else in the catalogue but want to give her a decent gift as she has spent so much.
Thanks for your help everyone.:DDD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! TEAM PINK!!
