How do Avon work out territories? Do they pick the street nearest to where you live?
I can't say I have ever seen a rep since I have been living where I am now (over 4 years).
Are you able to refuse an area?
Hazel
Yes, essentially to both questions.
The problem with the system is that a rep may have been allocated an area but not be actually covering it because she's getting enough orders in from either her other streets or F&F. Would be a really good idea if reps let their SLs/ASMs know in such cases as then those streets could be released and re-allocated to another rep. In reality though that doesn't tend to happen. Maybe it's something Avon should look into (anyone with any connections to Avon strategic management looking in on this thread??:rotfl:)
Same process if you are allocated a street you don't want, just notify whoever signed you up and they should release it for you. If you want to be sure you can email your immediate upliner and ask for a copy of your territory as it appears on SMA. (It's a good idea anyway because it wasn't until I became a SL and had access to that part of Avon's website that I realised my own territory hadn't been allocated to me at all! )Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Just send it back with your next delivery. It will say on your next invoice when your returns have to be sent back by otherwise they will just recharge them again. Broad as it's long really, once they're received back from Avon you should be recredited with the relevant amount.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Don't get disheartened, DB. Sometimes people don't actually put their books out because they either want to query something with you or they're wanting to double-check something before they complete their order. I usually collect books on a Tuesday; had to go back Thursday for 4 books and they all had orders in. :T
Good idea to make sure you drop a note in to say that you've called and will call again on .............. to collect their book/order. They then know you're on the ball, are reliable (and sometimes they feel guilty at you having to go back so they order something anyway just to salve their conscience).Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi, are there any sales leaders on this thread from the West Yorkshire area or willing to travel to Leeds? If so could you please PM me?0

we are not allowed to do this. It is self promotion. We tried to do this on last thread with SL's and it got removed.
Just a thought - to Aureol (and anyone else, who's far more up on this than me):
Can see the reason for the T&Cs and have no wish to contravene them at all but seems to me that it could really be useful to everyone subscribing to these Avon threads if we could somehow at least see more easily which parts of the UK are covered by subscribers.
My thought is if we started a new thread (and link it if poss), we could include a Poll with up to 10 questions. We could then 'vote' for which area we're in so at least people could use that as a route to find a rep and/or SL or see if there's likely to be one anywhere near without having to trawl through all our chatty posts....
Would that work do you reckon or would that also be contravening the T&C's?
PS: If needs be it could be worded as a sort of survey i.e. to see which areas are more popular or something. As usual, am not 'quite there' but as in the past thought if I suggested 'a start' then other brains more astute than mine could tweek it so it's helpful to us all without contravening the T&C's..... maybe......?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Plus have a new asm as last one was a temp (?!) hope I get more response from this one!!
When I first started I lost a few books in my first campaign so on my second I printed up some sticky labels to go on my bags, just saying "Please don't throw me away, just leave me outside I will be collected." this seemed to really help and I have hardly lost any since. Espcially as reps in my area seem to lose interest quickly.
C14 does not seem great for me so far! How's everyone else doing with it?
Yes, Avon are obviously trying to get their reps geared up for Christmas. Pretty sure we've all been sent these.
Good idea re. the stickers, well done! :T Seem to recall that someone else on here adds a comment to the effect that you've had to buy the book too so you will deffo be back to collect it.
I did start to order from the C1 and then I remembered that last time I'd forgotten what I'd ordered so I ordered again and ended up with twice the quantity - doh! Someone else commented on one of the earlier threads, of course, that if there's anything in there that you really fancy it's probably better to order it from HT in C17. You can then see what it's like well in advance - particularly if it's something like the champagne glasses - and order extra in C1 i.e. hopefully still in time for Christmas.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

With the "find me a rep" thing I believe this will be solved by Avon Connects, so we can just advise a customer to register on the site and supply their details, and they will be given details of their local rep.
Sounds good eh? Hope that's how it works in practice. Have had instruction from my ASM to complete the online training by Tuesday so I'm guessing that's launch day? !! Can't wait to see what its like and how I'll be able to use it for my customers.
Rumour has it also that next year Avon are planning an online brochure which you'll be able to send to your customers, they can order from online, and the order will go directly on to your order. Hopefully you also get a summary so you know who's ordered what.0
